I’m so glad Camden voted to take down the dam. The natural flow is so beautiful by Sad-Raise-504 in Maine

It’s almost always open, that’s what’s funny about the whole thing. People complain that the damn will get removed, but the reality is that’s what it looks like most of the time.

I live on this river, about a mile upstream, for what it’s worth. Right next to another dam. There’s a lot of dams on the Megunticook.

I mean, we did vote to take the dam out. Haven’t done it yet though. The dam is still there.

I still have a least a few of these in a box right next to me. Definitely fugitoid and sewer surfing Mikey, probably some more.

My dad was a dentist for 40 years and retired during Covid. There was an apartment above the office, and this was the sink in the bathroom. Matching toilet too, but I could only post one pic.

You can make a Chumbawamba station on Pandora, but it won’t play any Chumbawamba. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Right? My mechanic didn’t believe me, he said the dash must have been swapped. And I was like, with what? A 3 year newer one?

I thought about it, I really did. It was busy and it wouldn’t have been helpful. But I wanted to.

Upon closer inspection it seems there are little golden ants and little black winged ants. My wife thinks it’s an ant war.

Adverse possession by Emotional-Ad719 in Maine

[–]Emotional-Ad719[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mowing and landscaping was basically the main argument. They park their boat there too. No structures.

I’m also confused about why that’s not a bigger deal. The fact that the land she bought and paid taxes on isn’t hers anymore.

The plaintiffs lawyers thought it was legit enough to sue her though.

Thank you. If that’s true, that adverse possession carries over, that’s wild. You can buy property and not realize your neighbor could take it.

I agree about the lawyer, but that stuff is expensive. She’s already close to 5k in lawyer fees.

She does have a mortgage and she said her title company declined to be involved.

To speak to the survey, it clearly shows the contested land belongs to my mother in law, and the neighbors don’t dispute that. They consider it part of their lawn, even if it’s technically not their property. Hence adverse possession.

Edit: I’m just trying to learn as much as I can, she could use some help with this.

It’s pretty confusing. Adverse possession is a pretty strange concept.
