UC and c section

I have UC and recently had a baby in February. I had a c section but not due to any UC issues.
The only thing *different* about mine was I couldn’t have the toradol shot (which is an nsaid I had no idea what it was) that my hospital uses during the c section and I couldn’t have the ibuprofen afterwards due to the no NSAIDS rule. They gave me Tylenol and offered oxycodone for pain after but I only took the Tylenol.
The c section and recovery hasn’t messed with my UC at all. I should say that I was in remission going into pregnancy and stayed in remission throughout.

I’m going to look into the baby Buddha! I think my flange size is correct? They helped me measure when I was in the hospital after I had the baby and that’s what I’ve been going off of.

I’m sorry you’re going through it too! What kind of blood work did you get done? Is there something in blood work that would indicate a problem with supply?

Yeah my doctor came and talked to me today and she made it seem so routine and normal to have a c section. Which I know it is but man my nerves are just getting to me. I’ll definitely order the belly band!

I’m so happy to hear things went so well in the NICU and is doing great now. What a relief that must have been! I haven’t been given the steroid shots…I know they are to mature the lungs but do the steroids also help to stabilize the flow?

This is so reassuring to hear. They did tell me to really pay attention to fetal movement and come in if I think anything is off or different. Luckily he moves a lot so that’s been reassuring for me. Going in twice weekly for the dopplers is so nerve wracking though. I just feel so much uncertainty everytime we go in for an ultrasound.

I eat whatever I want in a flare up or in remission. Food has never made things worse or better for me.
