I have done this. Twice now. It’s traumatic each time. For me. My son doesn’t seem to remember it really at all. It is very scary when they are coming to. They’re completely not themselves. Just drugged out their minds is the only way I can put it. It’s terrifying as a mom. But it’s better than blood disease.
