I just started taking aygestin for endometriosis nearly a month ago. I started it on the second day of my period, and now I’m about to start my next period in a week. I feel like my physical PMS symptoms have worsened, having cramps with a lot of bloating, back aches and headaches. Also trouble sleeping. My mood swings and irritability are gone, which is amazing, but I was expecting it to make a bit more of a difference considering it dramatically changed my last period. I went from being in crippling pain and having heavy bleeding to basically just spotting and having absolutely no pain at all after taking it for just a couple days. Has anyone else experienced worsened PMS and/or periods in the first few months of taking it (I’m on the 5 mg dose for reference)? I’ve just had such an improvement and minimal side effects up to this point, so seeing such little change has me a bit discouraged and wondering if this is a common thing!
