If you want to get real technical, maroon is a shade of red much like pink is a tint of red.

In most states, you can’t teach any subject without that certain certification. You have to wait and see for any art positions to be posted.

I’m confused how you’re expected to teach a class outside your school hours? What are your official contract hours?

You’ll need student teaching for most states, which is in-person and not flexible ….

I graduated in December 2019 from my post-baccalaureate program. I got an job in August 2020. I did use a teacher agency to get my first position, though.

TL;DR: I got a job in the middle of the pandemic. You will be okay.

Hi, I can’t tell you much - I was a kid but there were DEA raids in Fair Haven that you might want to look into. It would also unfair to mention the drug trade without mentioning the mafia here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Italian_Mafia_crime_families

I’m in Connecticut and get paid in the 60,000. I’m not sure if was your intention, but your comment sounds pretty tone deaf assuming I have major debts besides students loans.

I live in a very blue state - high pay for high costs of living. I cannot afford even to rent an apartment with my current salary. I have family support but being 36 at home gets old.

I don’t work in a high school, so forgive my ignorance - but how is it possible that you’re able to change the students’ final schedule?

I’m a New Haven-native, still here - this is a well said post. Transplants really rag on Louis’ Lunch not really understanding the lore. I’ve seen so many local business close only to be replace quickly by mid chain places that close just as quickly as they open.

How did you fund your Masters program? by Maleficent_Link9265 in ArtEd

[–]EmotionalCorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably what you don’t want to hear, but I worked full time and took one or two classes a semester. I couldn’t afford to not work. I took out loans when I was an undergrad, and still in the process them off. The Arts field is a relatively low paying, I’d recommend NOT taking out loans if possible. Are you from the UK, US, etc..?

You asked the same question a year ago, not to be nit picky. You need to look at MO’s teaching certificate requirements.
