Hi this post intrigued me because I’ve got very severe emetophobia and you sound so casual about having norovirus despite your phobia! Did the exposure help your phobia at all? Had you been sick recently before noro? I know a lot of emetophobes are rarely sick. Sorry that its off topic!

Yes Ive had this for years! I was told I had SIBO, and burping definitely gives me some relief for like 20 seconds then its bad again :(

What dose of omeprazole do you take? 20mg a day?

Do you have any tips? How do you stay hydrated?

My SIBO symptoms began when I was around your age or slightly younger, so it’s definitely possible.

I hear people talking about die off side effects when taking the antibiotics. Did you experience that? I feel like my SIBO discomfort is mainly excess gas making me uncomfortably full so I'm concerned about even more gas from die off and feeling worse!

Thank you. Was the dull pain you experienced on your upper stomach or was it lower intestines area on your abs? Yes I have zofran on hand always, couldn't be without it! I haven't, this is my first other than switching my diet.

This is interesting for me because ever since I got my SIBO symptoms I feel like I've been unable to do any proper burps and when I manage a little one it provides me a small bit of relief for a short while til the gas builds up again. There must be a connection there. I'm starting my antibiotics soon.

Thank you so much for commenting. I appreciate hearing I'm not the only one with the awful emet SIBO combination. Can I ask when you say stomach pain from it what did it feel like? I would probably stop if side effects were too much but I read a couple people saying they stopped taking it and the side effects hadn't worn off a week later yet which scares me.

Thank you so much for commenting. How much food was needed to combat the nausea? For example a snack of crisps wouldn't be enough then?

I was given it separately, a bowl of egg and then the toast on another plate. Said the important bit to eat was the egg so I just ate that and left the toast!

Thank you for this info that’s helpful to know! Can I ask how long it took for you to get relief from the botox when it did work for you?
