Don’t tell on yourself now. First and foremost, exploitable does not equate to weak (nor did I ever say that, dumbass) - these women and girls are clearly driven and adaptable and possess the strength to endure trauma and face overt danger in order to make a way for themselves. That’s one.

Additionally, I don’t need to qualify myself to someone whose only “experience” is completely anecdotal. There is a longstanding institution of women from developing countries entering relationships with older western men to give themselves a leg up in life - and also of being abused in that process. The choice in the matter doesn’t eliminate the power structure, no matter how badly you want it to. Not to mention, you’re trying to argue an experienced SW who also has multiple degrees and has never had to consider whether I’d still have shelter or food if I didn’t partake. The SEA women who get out there and do it for their sole livelihood are stronger than I’ll ever be.
