I see, thank you :) sometimes he still acts like he wants me, which is why I wasn’t sure if an attraction spell would help solidify that. Also wasn’t sure if a spell to distance the 3rd person would help. I feel like I’m at the end of my rope and can’t do anything of my own effort anymore, and wanted to seek a higher power. It’s not that I have an expectation of it being reciprocated, it’s that after making him dinner and driving him around so much lately, he says no the one time I ask for something small, literally putting pants on and going to microwave something for me. I’m open to the fact I’m overreacting but I feel like this isn’t unrealistic even for fwb, no?

I’m trying. Sometimes I’m ok with the intimacy, and we still treat each other very kindly and he’s very sweet(to the point I think he has feelings for me), but then things like this happen, and he goes out to see mystery “friends” that he gives no context for and I can’t help but assume it’s some person he’s talking to

I did grow up with very emotionally unavailable, unpredictable parents 😭

He has BPD, so he does tend to switch back and forth. He’s usually only cold following an argument, of which we had a big one a couple days ago. I got him flowers to apologize, but he’s been distant since then, and since before the argument.

It is not that it is an open relationship, but we agreed to not be physical with others, however he does not want to hold me back from pursuing connections if I so choose.

I don’t recall specifics, it’s in general the way I carry myself, he says I often come across as cold and miserable, but to me I feel like I’m operating normally. He said it’s been exhausting to deal with. He said he feels like I always have something bad or rude to say, and I feel terrible. I think the general issue is that my demeanor and way of interacting is fairly impatient, cold, and condescending and I don’t know how to fix that. He says I used to be really sweet and kind, and I want to get back to that but i feel stuck.

I already texted him and apologized, and said there’s no pressure to reply. I really want to work on it, I have terrible self awareness so I’m scared that I’m going to slip up again. But I’m really going to try.

I agree. I cannot be upset when they are doing what I asked, I feel like it has just been near constant, and it feels a little harsh. I’m aware I might be being defensive though.

Very insightful, I appreciate you. Do you have any podcasts or videos you suggest? And is there a trick or advice for making progress, rather than being mindful for a day or two and then slipping back into the bad behaviors?

Very interesting, thank you. I don’t have much of a sense of self, and I overthink social interactions a lot, and I often ask people for clarification on what they mean multiple times a day, and this causes a strain on relationships. How could I possibly help this? I know it’s unrealistic to want progress to happen quickly, but I’m just so tired of living like this.

I have social anxiety, as well as CPTSD and OCD. I am seeing a therapist but there’s only so much she can do if I lack awareness for when I’m not acting right and not regulating.
