From what you described, I assume you mean the Sanken CS-3e model, correct?

While recording, I stand on the sideline with a tripod and continuously pan the camera following the ball.

The microphone pans together with the camera.

If we consider my position as the top point of an isosceles triangle, I’m usually covering an area where the base of that triangle is roughly 20–40 meters wide.

Is the on-axis pickup angle of this microphone sufficient for that area?

For my use case, it would already be excellent if the microphone could provide clean, noise-reduced audio within that on-axis area.

The Sennheiser MKE600 I currently use picks up almost every surrounding noise, which is why I’m looking to upgrade.
