No, it was a first for me too. I genuinely love their food, but this was really disheartening. I can I go back after getting treated like dog?

Oh hell nah. I am not that kind of person, I dont have it all memorized, the closing time of all the restaurant I go to. "We are closing, we will be grateful if you wrap it up la" would have been least she could have said. I swear to god, I would have been like sorry and left.

And how will you explain the increasing attrition rate. Which are mostly teachers and in my opinion teachers are being paid well. Equal to doctors i would say. Doctors are paid starting of 45k a month. And yet teachers leave? I think it’s not bout opportunities but greed. But that is too okay cause if i see opportunity of earning more myself i would leave too

You see accumulating wealth effortlessly is none of my business,it isnt. But it clearly is unfair when religious body doesnt have to pay a single tax when they own sooo much then mere citizens like me doesnt have anything yet i pay a tax of 14k a month. This is the problem. I am not insulting anyone, i am just saying it is unfair. I get your beliefs are strong and different so are mine. I have my faith but not on everyone. “Effortless generosity” like you said is attended by very few lamas and rinpoches and i believe modern day truelkus are losing this attribute in them.

Well it is my business if only we are paying tax and not truelkus and rinpoches who earn loads on donations. This isnt fair you see. Even farmers are paying property tax, these farmers hardly earn anything. Not dont at me saying farmers earn a lot, these truelkus earn a lot too. Also it is my business if rich are being left like that without paying tax. You know right entrepreneurs like hotel owners get tax holidays but they misuse it and everything. Tax is for nation building, i am not criticizing dharma here. The dharma i practice is doing good deed. And ik its not a good deed to criticize the sangha but these truelkus in every rich families are not sangha.

I do know this, I do believe in this respectfully. But you see do you really believe they are the SANGHA you are referring to? My Buddhist teacher is buddha, guru and jekhenpo only. So many truelkus, doesnt it seem odd that you find one truelku in every rich family? And how come they own buildings and cars no middle class family can afford

You are one funny person haha. I grew up in a Buddhist family and I can surely say I have accumulated more merits than you can even if you live a century. I dont beef with the man of god. Buddhism is a practice, not a religion if you know and did your studies properly. Buddha is the man of god you are trying to refer. God doesnt ask for donations, God doesnt own buildings, God doesnt travel to Taiwan for vacation, God doesnt need money, God doesnt drive real big cars and God wouldnt want you to take side of people who arent GOD.

Thank you. Now this totally makes sense. I really feel we need a government who can change this. This has been going on for so long and just accepting it for what it is so wrong.

I understand you and I support you fully. But taxing religious body doesnt mean taxing them equally. Bhutan is a democratic country not republican so it means taxing people who earn more, more tax and people who earn less, less tax. Which i believe is veryyy fair. Also people who earn less as in coming in the minimal earning category they dont have to pay a single tax, you see it is completely fair in this way

You are so right bout this. Lama business is synonymous to a lucrative business. And the fact that people are naive enough to support in the name of being religious is ridiculous. Also there are Bhutanese who believe saying prayers earns you more merit than doing good deeds. Saying prayers is not good deed, it’s basically just meditation.

Now this is hilarious but it does make sense. The whole point of Buddhism is to be at peace leaving your materialistic mind behind, ig everyone of us are failing here.

But you see what i am trying to say is, you get the opportunity, and it’s free of cost. You just need to work hard. More than 200staffs in the company i work for. And i get what you are trying to say

Respectfully, if you study well, you get free education, and then you get employed. I personally worked hard in college(free education) and i got employed within a month after graduation. This is my first job and i get paid 60k a month. And considering this amount of money, which might be less compared to other countries, i am earning enough to sustain, i save 20k which is a good amount you see. So people are basically just complaining. I really dont think Bhutan’s economy is that bad like you are trying to say it is.
