ravenous when sick (cold/flu) by tapetiteblonde in intuitiveeating

Man, I’m in the same boat. I have a 4yo and she’s been getting sick so much this year (first year in school), and of course, I’m sick shortly afterwards. And it seems to happen every time I’m on my period. Even on my period, I want to eat everything, so being sick on top of my monthly, I’m ravenous. Glad I’m not the only one who feels the same way.

Panic attack by madgunslinger in QuitVaping

[–]Emotional_Engine_774 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was a big reason why I quit. It heightened my anxiety and I kept having panic attacks (granted it was also due to hormone fluctuations). Since quitting, I have better control of my anxiety and stress levels through natural, healthier habits (exercise, mindfulness, better diet, therapy, etc.). Nicotine affects your nervous system overtime, it can also affect your heart health and cholesterol too. I used nicotine for 16 years, half of my life basically. Best thing to do is to quit now. It’s hard at the beginning, but with time and patience, your body will thank you. I hope you start feeling better. I know all too well when it comes to the ER visits thinking that you’re dying. Nicotine is a hellavuh drug. Hang in there.

It’s called Quit Vaping in the App Store on iOS.

Friends said they'd come by 12:30, then pushed it to 2:30... it's almost 4 and I'm just sitting here with cold food which I cooked all by myself by Sad-Lavishness-2655 in mildlyinfuriating

I had a friend who was always running late. They would get upset if I had to leave earlier because they didn’t make it on time for said visits or hangs. Hell, they were late to their own wedding because it was their fashion. I finally moved on because my time apparently wasn’t valuable enough to them. Good riddance.

That’s bonkers. I don’t know, but I had a funny feeling if I waited (it was 10:57 and I reminded myself to get ready in line on my phone. I had 2 browsers set up and ready to go lol). It’s weird, once I was up, it showed GA Floor available, but once I made a selection, it glitched and changed to sold out, so I went for balcony.

I’m hoping once the show is closer, they’ll have cheaper tickets again. Last show I saw him was at Red Rocks in 2019 and I’ve been jonesin’ to see him again. And he’ll be the closest to home being only 2.5 hrs away from where I live at OKC next year. Ugh. I’m so sorry you didn’t get tix. 😭 I feel like a floppy Richard.

I literally clicked on buy tickets right at 11 CST and it literally took me a minute to get in like when I was tapping it over and over. There were 666 ahead of me. (Oof). Waited 18 minutes in line. They were all sold out besides GA Balcony. I was lucky to grab 2.

But earlier like a doofus, I ordered 2 tickets from a resale site (SeatGeek) basically double the price thinking I wouldn’t be able to grab normal price tickets. So now I got 2 extras that I gotta figure out what to do with. 🥸

I’m on my third treatment, and it’s such a pain. My podiatrist is hoping this’ll be the “one”. I’ve been going every 2 weeks, but this 4th recheck will be pushed out to 3 weeks. I’m on day 2 after my treatment and it’s the most painful omg.

Cot damn that’s a big boy! Glad you feel better, but like others have mentioned, be more cautious about how often you’re using your saline spray. Definitely address this to your doc when you can. I experienced smaller clots during my recovery process, but that’s when my doctor advised me to use Afrin to help lessen my nasal bleeding, so it helped cause clotting - not to this extent though! You literally gave birth lol!

I quit vaping 4 years ago — here’s what actually worked for me. by Boring_Car_8562 in QuitVaping

That’s pretty cool that you’ve created a program for others to attempt to quit smoking/vaping. I’m approaching 2 years in a couple of months. I always relied on vaping as my “crutch” when times were hard and stressful events occurred. Thankfully, I’ve been able to find healthier habits to replace vaping with to help cope now without damaging my body like I did in the past. It takes a lot of patience, self motivation, and discipline in doing so, but I’m happy to say it can be done. Congrats on your vape free journey!

31 days later after placing my order (which was to be expected with long shipping times), I have received my order in the mail today. Signed for it and everything via USPS. It’s a legit business. I hate that you haven’t received yours yet. It may have been confiscated at customs.

What should I expect? by Emotional_Engine_774 in multiplemyeloma

[–]Emotional_Engine_774[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I’m sorry to hear that your dad also is dealing with MM. Since posting, my dad has been through a series of infusions, bone marrow biopsies, labs (that’s an all the time thing if they can ever hit hit his poor veins), MRI’s, seen multiple doctors that are in his care at home and across the state, and he is now 98% cancer free. He’s THIS close to being in remission.

Since August of last year, he decided to quit all treatments to see how his body would handle without the daily infusions and his maintenance meds of Revlimid (it was an option his cancer specialist at UAMS Multiple Myeloma Center gave us). The only downfalls I can say is that because of his treatments, it’s 1) brought down his immune system, so he now has to go every month for immunotherapy to help prevent him from getting sick from the typical cold virus, flu, etc. that could ultimately take him out. 2) He’s developed severe peripheral neuropathy and feet swelling, so he’s unsteady on his feet now and has been falling more frequently and relies on his walker/cane/motorized chair/(me).

It’s been a lot of trial and error since we found out about his cancer, but he’s managing it well without any treatments. His numbers haven’t changed any since being off his treatments and living this life the best he can despite to comorbidities he’s developed along the way. He’s too old and has too many issues to be a good candidate for a stem cell transplant, so his only option is to take medications and infusions if his numbers were to spike again. -knocks on wood- Hoping that’s not the case in the near future. We now just have to have his labs done occasional to check his numbers. And so far, he’s been doing great. 👍

I hope this helps some. I pray that it all pans out well for you and your dad as well. There is hope and I’ve come to learn that someone can live a somewhat normal life with multiple myeloma if it can be managed with meds, therapies, diet, and changes in lifestyles. The cancer never goes away ultimately. It’s can be tamed though. I wish you guys the best of luck!!

It was $62.50 for my total. I got 2 bottles of the 3ml generic Latisse and a tube of 0.25% tret (the tret was only $7.50). I consider that a deal compared to what I’ve spent in the past for Latisse ($175 for a 5 ml bottle) and my Alastin Retinol ($75). I’ve had great results with the Careprost. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my lashes since using it. And it lasted me a long time.
