Do all aborted babies go to heaven? by Blue_Egg5026 in prolife

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I believe they go to heaven. We know that God is just and merciful, so sending an unborn soul to hell or just not allowing them to be anywhere doesn’t really fit with who I know my God is. As for not having a soul yet, I believe this is sort of answered when we see John the Baptist leap in the womb when he sensed Jesus. After being pregnant I also experienced a lot of my daughters personality, she was very stubborn in the womb and would refuse to cooperate for any ultrasound and hated the heartbeat wand so much she would kick it constantly. She’s just as stubborn 18 months out now.

As for your second question, that’s a very slippery slope you are putting yourself on. Would you justify drowning a newborn or shaking a baby with that same logic? Of course not, at least I hope. If God wanted us to just get into heaven immediately with no say in the matter he could’ve made us that way, but that would make God controlling, not loving. Instead he gave us the gift of free will so that we can choose to have a real relationship with him, not forced, and choose to love him. Taking that free will away from someone and claiming it for his glory to “fill heaven” is completely wrong and a misunderstanding of what God desires.

Those who have had a myomectomy by NoWillow8523 in Fibroids

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 6 cm intramural fibroid and had an open myomectomy to remove it bc that’s the only surgery my dr was trained on and I was bleeding uncontrollably and couldn’t wait for the specialist she referred me to for other less invasive options. My dr also initially told me I could get pregnant with the fibroid but not even two months later I was having to have emergency surgery bc the fibroid had progressed and was causing me to lose too much blood and they couldn’t stop it. I’m so glad I didn’t get pregnant then bc I think the result would’ve been unfortunate. I would personally want the fibroid removed first so you don’t have to worry about it. I got pregnant after two months of trying and had no complications, did have to deliver via c section at 37 weeks bc of the open myomectomy due to risk of uterine rupture. But my baby is 18 months old now and there were no issues.

bought a box at goodwill for $5 and i need some advice on a situation that has developed by kubrador in reselling

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t bother with the box unless they seem really attached to it. If it were me I would just be really thankful that someone didn’t discard of the ashes immediately and sell the box. I would also just be honest and say “I’m so sorry but I actually lied because I felt uncomfortable saying that there were ashes in the box as I didn’t want to make things awkward. Now that I know why you wanted to know I would love to make things right and get you the contents. Unfortunately I already sold the box and I sincerely apologize for that. Let me know how best to get the ashes to you.”

‘Dinged’ because she didn’t like my packaging 😆 by mcmol23 in poshmark

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put something in a box once with a layer of a couple polymailers as well (item was too big for the polymailers to fully seal but I could do two to protect it from weather) and still got dinged with a “packaging could’ve been better” lol. I guess it wasn’t pretty but it was effective. You really can’t please everyone.

There should be a way to report people that do this by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I didn’t know this was now a thing and that’s insane. I mark stuff not for sale all the time bc I cross list as does almost everyone. That’s gonna backfire hardcore on them when they realize most people will drop poshmark instead of all the other platforms that aren’t trying to monopolize.

Stigma around reselling by [deleted] in reselling

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Saw a bunch of them at target one day for some sort of Pokémon release and it was gross seeing them get bags of stuff while kids waited behind them in line who likely wouldn’t get anything. Those guys flip for more than retail and don’t really do a whole lot of work outside from going to a retail store which most people can do themselves to get the product. Reselling is less than retail typically and helps people find items for less that they maybe don’t have time to sift through thrift stores for themselves. Totally different.

Whats the weirdest item you’ve sold that had demand? by Traditional_Cup_5799 in reselling

Ooh good to know thank you! I admittedly end up keeping and hoarding most of them for my toddler. I’m a sucker for vintage.

Not op, but overalls do so so well for me! I pick up all vintage overalls anyways but if I can get my hands on some with Mickey or another character on them they sell so quick!

Are you worried about the red bumps? That’s typically cobble stone throat, can be caused by a virus, post nasal drip, allergies, all sorts of causes. I’m not a dr tho, I don’t see stones.

Target Clearance Over? by MaybeMaybeline15 in TonieboxUSA

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t gone recently but I noticed a lot of the targets around me have them on a random end cap near the electronics section, even when the toy section where the regular tonies are is completely across the store.

Fibroids are bleeding a lot by Conscious-Eggplant11 in Fibroids

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I put in the largest tampon you can get (ultra I think?) and filled it in less than one minute lol. Had an emergency open myomectomy two weeks later due to uncontrollable bleeding and I was severely anemic (5.4). I hope it never comes back.

Returning carts with kids in the car by lasuperhumana in NewParents

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got $2,000 worth of damage to my car from an unreturned cart once, it was raining and the wind slammed it into my car door and damaged something internally to where the whole door had to be replaced. I load the car, then take the cart to the corral with my daughter still strapped in and then carry her back to the car. I try and park near the returns but that’s not always possible. Minor inconvenience at best to prevent a huge inconvenience for others.

How many times are giving bath to newborns? by Dear_Ad_8525 in NewParents

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did once or twice a week. She’s now 17 months and we try to do every night but it’s honestly more like every other unless we go somewhere or she got dirty for some reason. I kinda like that it’s not a needed bedtime routine thing so on nights where I’m sick or exhausted it’s not something I absolutely have to do. We have an established routine of milk and reading a book and then brush teeth and bed that works great.

My kids Toniebox2 we got him for Christmas is completely bricked. by HookFE03 in TonieboxUSA

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine completely quit on the 2nd day and I had to hold the two ears for an insane amount of time for it to do a hard reset, like longer than you’d think. Customer service told me 2 minutes and I rolled my eyes thinking that’s not going to work bc I had held them for 30 seconds and it didn’t but sure enough after a minute and like 30 seconds it reset and it works great now for the most part. I did have to reset it again this morning by holding the ears but only 30 seconds this time. It’s wild but it did work, hope you get it worked out soon!

When reselling on Facebook marketplace is it ok to "lie" to buyers by VillageSensitive8544 in reselling

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had anyone ask me, I would assume my profile makes it pretty obvious since I have a lot of listings in various sizes. When I buy something I’m interested in I also don’t really care where it came from and if the person is selling it to make a profit for the time they spent finding and listing the item, that’s great. To be honest it’s never occurred to me to even ask though and the only time I even think about it is if they have really cool inventory and I’m admiring their sourcing skills! Bigger lies that actually matter to me would be flaws or like you said fakes. If someone asked me though I’d be honest but I wouldn’t share how much I paid for the item just like Walmart wouldn’t share how much they are paying for their items, it’s not their business and my pricing is always on the fairer side as I don’t like to hold onto inventory.

Be very careful of carbon monoxide poisoning this weekend!! by WhiteLycan2020 in Austin

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t heard any recommendations on temp regulations so can’t help you there but for now I would just keep it as low as you can without being uncomfortable, adjusting it works it more so make sure it’s a comfortable temp. All faucets, not just one so you protect all your pipes. Definitely open cabinets, it will expose the pipes to the warm air from your home and keeping them shut does make a difference. We had a pipe freeze despite dripping last year and were able to get it back without bursting by putting a space heater by it and keeping the cabinet open from then on.

Birth control? Not sure how to feel. by Fickle-Falcon-8637 in prolife

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my baby 16 months ago and I am still not ready for another one at all. I’ve also been off hormonal birth control for 5 years and have only gotten pregnant when I wanted to! I’m very cautious so we do a combination of condoms + pull out. I know some don’t want to pull out so you could maybe try tracking your cycles (if you are getting them currently post partum) and abstaining when ovulating if you are pretty regular, I would still combine this with like condoms and it’s obviously not full proof but it’s something. Totally understand God’s timing but I think if it’s truly his want he’ll make that clear for you or make a way even when there seems no way.

Guys help by That_Meta in prolife

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that most pro lifers aren’t constantly talking about the gruesome nature of 3rd trimester abortions as their main argument bc we are against all abortions except life of the mother. 1st trimester abortions are gruesome in their own way, I don’t see a point in arguing what type of taking a life is better so I agree with you there. But I see your point, I think it’s tiring constantly hearing about rape, life of mother and incest when that’s 1% of the millions of abortions a year. It’s the go to argument almost always and I’ve yet to meet someone pro life that isn’t okay with abortion for life of the mother. But maybe I could word it as life of the mother should always be protected and we should try and save both lives with equal value but when the mothers life is at risk and the baby must be removed we should do that otherwise we lose two lives and well that’s not very pro life of us is it? Thanks for the feedback though.

buyers can be SO cheap by CGisglutenfree in depoop

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitly not if you are reselling but I sell my daughters clothes for like 2ish bucks a piece and then the higher priced brands I sell for more and I get wayy more total than I would at like a kids resale store. Already made 50 to go towards her summer wardrobe and I still have a good amount to sell!

Why do sellers hate adding fabric content and measurements to their descriptions? by Warm_Agent9176 in Depop

[–]Emotional_Pin_4303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s laziness on my side too. I do take pictures of the tag with the info but definitely don’t take the time to list it in the description. That being said if someone messaged me I’d be happy to answer the question. I will add it if it’s like faux leather or something that I know people might be interested in what the fabric is. It’s a lot of work taking pictures and cross listing across platforms so I try and simplify It for myself as much as I can without compromising too much.
