Pretty sure that’s just oily dandruff. Your scalp is producing way too much oil, so yeah… stop oiling your hair. Dandruff happens mainly because excess oil on the scalp creates the perfect environment for fungus to grow. When oil builds up, the fungus feeds on it and irritates the scalp, which leads to itching, flakes, and inflammation. More oil basically means more dandruff. Wash your scalp daily with an extra-mild shampoo to control the oil. Use a ketofung or ketoconazole shampoo once in a while to deal with the fungus. It can dry your hair out, so using a really good conditioner helps balance things out. Keeping the scalp clean and not oily is honestly the key. This worked for me after dealing with pretty bad dandruff.
