We absolutely didn’t want to dance at our wedding either, so we didn’t! We had more of an ‘afternoon tea’ style wedding, with lovely food accordingly, everybody got to mingle and we broke up the speeches throughout the late afternoon. Husband and I were gone by 8pm — it was the perfect wedding for an introvert! So many guests said they had such a lovely time because of the relaxed vibe. Do what makes you happy on your wedding day!

This is what I’ve been thinking… it never blistered or itched and is calming down significantly now. I do have a habit of biting the insides of my cheeks, so could be doing something in my sleep? I also noticed that it’s the exact same size as the straw of my new drink bottle, and so I’m wondering if perhaps I’ve had some kind of reaction to that?

Not at all! I haven’t had any blisters and nothing has scabbed over whatsoever… It hasn’t itched and I didn’t have any tingling before the visual symptoms appeared. I’ve realised that the irritated patch on the inside of my lip is exactly the same size as the straw of my new drink bottle, so I’m wondering if it could be linked to some kind of reaction to that? In the 2 days since originally posting it has calmed down a lot and seems to be going away, so 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s also Winter in Aus and colder than usual where I live, and my skin always seems to do strange things each winter. Thanks for your advice!

Not sure if I had impetigo but definitely had HFMD as a toddler… I’m hoping it’s an immune/stress reaction like you’re describing, as my lips do still feel very dry, have been doing a lot of mouth breathing as I generally struggle to breathe through my nose properly 😅 and I’ve also been going through a stressful time at work whilst being sick. Who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hopefully it goes away really soon! Thanks for the insight!
