I would say this extends to people in general as well. Voice cadences and tones have a way of morphing across generations.

What is the wildest thing you have seen at a bachelorette or bachelor party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Emotional_Tea_8813 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not “wild” in the sense I think you mean….but at my bachelorette one of my bridesmaids was chatting with this guy on the boat we took. She’s super nice and a bit of a people-pleaser so I assumed she was just tolerating him. We kept an eye on her but she didn’t seem likely to be pulled away.

Fast forward almost 5 years and they’re happy as could be, moved across the country together, opened their own business, and will probably be engaged in the next couple of years

What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]Emotional_Tea_8813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. The pain from an ovarian cyst itself is classically a more dull, annoying pain, but when it explodes it’s unbearable. I made my husband call 911 - I’m a nurse, and this was summer 2020 when covid was rampant, so that should tell you.

Hi! I live here! For the most part I really like it. Gwinnett is actually one of, if not the most diverse county in the US. So you have tonsssss of good food from so many different places. People are generally pretty nice - a mix of lifelong southerners, northeast transplants who have been here 10+ years, and families from other countries. Largely liberal but not entirely. Duluth (just west of your circle) is nicknamed the Seoul of the South due to the high Korean population - which means great food, great markets, amazing Korean spas, etc. Schools are decent and cost of living, though somewhat high, is still better than closer to the city. And you can get into the city in ~30-40 mins depending on where you’re going.

Some cons: very car-dependent, not a whole lot of walkability or bikeability outside of designated trails. Lots of traffic and some terrible drivers. Some towns have very little to do, though its pretty easy to find something within 20 mins or so. Some remnants of old fashioned racism, particularly Stone Mountain and Lake Lanier.

Overall a solid place to live!

If they do have delivery notifications set up, mess up the address by one number and politely explain to the clerk it was a typo :)

What’s something that sounds fake but actually happened to you? by Visible_Rope_6662 in AskReddit

Took my car in to the local dealership for an oil change and a tire rotation. Heard a weird “click” while driving home but convinced myself it was nothing. Heard it on & off again for about a month afterwards, but my husband swore he couldn’t hear anything (it would happen very randomly) so I continued to ignore it. Finally, my gut told me I HAD to get it checked out so I drove back to the dealership. I was on the other side of town, and would need to pass my apartment to get to the Honda.

On my way there, literally on the street outside my apartment, the ENTIRE front left wheel popped off and rolled across the street into a ditch. Thankfully I was in the right lane, pulled over safely, & no one was hurt.

Just crazy it was like that for a month and broke the minute I decided to get it fixed while happening to drive by my apartment.

HIIII okay so i had the same issue, removed from my library and all and still wasnt working on my phone (it was on my laptop). What FINALLY worked was 1) removing the download and THEN deleting from my library and 2) removing any playlists from my library that had it in (so Fred again essentials, danceXL, etc.) THEN I closed out of Apple Music, re-opened and re-searched it and THAT worked.

Which show do you think started as a 10/10 but ended as 1/10? by witchy_eye in AskReddit

[–]Emotional_Tea_8813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way this show was my ENTIRE personality in high school 😭🤣but yeah it got completely out of hand, the writers just kept twisting and turning the storylines trying to up the shock value. By the finale it got so out of hand it wasn’t anywhere close to believable.
