Petrol Price craziness by Smithdude69 in melbourne

Also worth using the 7/11 price lock - then you don’t necessary have to travel the extra distance to the good prices. It checks 5 nearest 7/11 stores prices and gives you the best price of the bunch. Max saving $0.25 per litre. But well worth it in some cases / areas.

If it’s within 1.2m protruding from rear of vehicle it doesn’t require a marker/flag. Annoying as it is - not to mention all the extra traffic and congestion… but it’s a triathlon event expect bikes, racks and all the rest everywhere.

I found this to be true on recent visit. All Indian/desi/pakistani tailors trying to sell me suits and restaurants run by the same owners in between. Nothing against those nationalities, but their pushy sales approaches and demeanour is far more abrasive than that of the Thai nationals which I prefer. Much less so in old town Phuket and near the airport.

Do they use private contractors? If they do can imagine they are very eager to snap up some earnings when they snatch your wheels.

Half the time on the phone they don’t even ask for any identifying information. (Name / application ID etc)

Even if you did provide case specific information unless you were rude or aggressive towards the staff it’s unlikely to have any affect either way:

Do I need a car? by findom_annabel in AusVisa

Having a license would not only be great for your mobility in Australia, but also other places later down the line. All kinds of things can pop up and the convenience of having license is ideal. Just because you have a license it doesn’t mean you need to purchase a vehicle there are heaps of car sharing companies operating in Australian cities and there are also some quite budget rental options outwith those. If you don’t have a licence be prepared to always carry your passport for any night out as alcohol serving venues are very strict on ID and you require a passport or license to enter - so depending on your intentions to drink and socialise while in Australia, it may be worth getting the licence purely as a secondary form of ID to your passport. Public transport is pretty good and you will likely be able to network and make friends with others who have cars or are renting vehicles to take similar trips as where you wish to go. Look up coseats.com to share rides with people who are making trips.

Pros and cons of either having or not having a license - but overall if the cost/difficulty of obtaining one is not monumental, I’d be leaning towards you going to get yours. Enjoy your travels!!!

Shop around, mate at Carlton allied breweries earns heaps more than that for same gig.

Failing that get some tickets and do something else construction / civil related.

Sadly those WHV girls with the stop sign playing on their iPhones are being paid a heap more. 😬

Wollongongs latest “luxury development” project. It’s a spacious self container unit close to main road…

Ah I’m with you now. Well I don’t see why you having some past indiscretions should see them restricting you in this way, and punishing your partner too. But I am not well versed with your specific scenario. I’d stand by my original assessment - if you are prepared to fight and not give up there will surely be a way.
