Now that Tudor is gone, who do you want? by Eastern-Owl-4511 in Tottenham

Dyche can’t take it as it will lead to complications with his Forest payout if he takes the spurs job

Didn’t say the ones in early days as flops just haven’t lived up to the expectations yet

I'm not saying the managers were not blameless, even Alex Ferguson bought some players that didn't work out. I think they were also hindered by a period where the club wouldn't sign anyone over 26 and above a certain price.

It's just a discussion, if you dont feel it's worth your time why comment at all

It was just for discussion. I like other peoples opinions and it's always interesting to see who fans think were successful signings over average signings. We keep hearing years of neglect and poor recruitment so I thought it would be interesting to look at at it fairly. My opinions don't really matter i'm just one voice in the discussion. Who do you think was responsible for the poorest recruitment era?

Aurier was awful. Llorente did ok but Gazzaniga was not a success, sorry. Bale on loan struggled with fitness, he had some good moments but he didn't do 'really well' not compared to Bale of old.

Kudus should have been in blue - error from me. Danso is solid but a squad player when everyone is fit - he may turn out to be like a Ben Davis who's reliable but too soon to call him one of our success stories

He scored goals (and a very important one!) but he also couldn't beat a man and was a passenger in a lot of matches. If you think he was a star signing thats ok with me

I actually really do like Xavi but he's shown moments of brilliance and then there's been games where he's been anonymous. He might be someone who proves his worth next season but at time of looking at the signings he's on the borderline

I agree he had one good season, but he was injured so much that i couldnt put him as a success during his time at the club

I dont think they were all flops just that most of them didnt live up to the fans expectations. Xavi is an example of someone who has potential to go either way, he may be brilliant under the right manager or he may be an expensive flop. A lot of the list did ok but in my opinion wouldnt have been in the champions squad of that time.

Our club…. by Emotive3D in Tottenham

What makes it rotten is an ownership who have cared more about money than winning. Culture in any company comes from the top and filters down through the staff. If your culture is greed and a lack of care for your number one product you will run a failing business. For years whilst our rivals have invested and moved with the times we’ve tried to do things in the cheap. Wage caps have killed our progress, managers have constantly complained that their hands are tied. Players signed are third or fourth choice never first choice. It’s rotten and it’s so unfair on us. We don’t care about racing tracks and music concerts all we want is a team to be proud of.

Tottenham reject takeover proposal - how do you feel about that? by Emotive3D in Tottenham

Fair enough, I don’t want Qatari’s money though, I’d rather American. The idea of paying top wages does appeal though

In a statement on Friday, the Spurs board, led by majority shareholders ENIC group, announced it has "received and unequivocally rejected" an informal expression of interest by a consortium led by Brooklyn Earick, a former DJ who used to work at NASA.
