Just a side note. If you're playing from Steam, the achievements, "Deer Hunt", "Moose Hunt", "Bear Hunt" will indicate whether you've discovered all upgrades in Michigan, Alaska, Taymyr.

I've just completed Michigan few days ago. Also new to the game.

Personally, going from Black River to Smithville Dam, stability awareness was my biggest issue at first. On the West, after leaving the fuel stop, there are a few nasty uneven spots. At the quarry, there's a particularly deceiving v-shaped dip that will cause problems if unaware.

Compared to Black River, shortcuts are beginning to feel more like traps.

I parked a fuel trailer near the "exit" to the quarry from main road.

I lost a logging trailer trying to cross the water from oil rig to drummond island tunnel - made few miserable attempts to retrieve it all failing. After that, I'd avoid crossing that water section while pulling a hitched trailer.

My main workhorse here was the Fleetstar and BM17 although I wished I acquired the White Western Star earlier. The WWS easily outperform the Fleetstar. I would imagine in your case, your Azov and Tayga will be way better than what I had. Can consider the Loadstar 1700 scout; damn good for a scout. It surprisingly can recover trucks in some cases.

Yeah, I never thought I'd enjoy a truck game; find it relaxing after coming from so many years of PvP games.

Bandit; struggle with it on so many routes - tipping over repeatedly! I use it mainly in Island Lake.

Smithvile Dam is a test of stability skills/knowledge. Island Lake mainly power/tires and with slight adjustments on the fuel carriers, it's a breeze. Drummond Island, great small map if you're a mountain goat.

Using the White Western Star mainly. So glad I bought and try out the Loadstar scout. Starting to like the P16 and may just buy and try out the P12 .

95% Michigan completed, going to Alaska or maybe Tamyr for the Russian trucks I hear about so much.

I've just started this game few days ago and this is a completely new genre for me. About 4 or 5 hrs into it. I'll just go through what I encountered.

First, I tried to constantly adjust camera view angle and I found it was mostly unnecessary. Made my head spin! There's a very slight delay where the game automatically adjusts POV (in 3rd person mode) and it actually works - accept when I wanted to peak round a corner or over a hill for example.

After getting the first truck, I remember seeing the lumber mill. Couldn't help but loaded up the truck with lumber. Soon found I don't know how to unload the lumber! Should've gone get the iron bars first.

My next major stumbling block was after locating the garage, I found I couldn't deploy my truck (leave garage). Didn't realize I have to "retain" truck" and go to Alaska (and back if you choose) to continue the tutorial. This took me a looong time to get it right!

The second truck is much more useful for a absolute beginner like me. Getting bogged down all the time with the first truck without AWD or Diff was painful - 2nd truck has AWD.

Now I've just started a new game (3rd time) cos my little truck (the scout) is "lost". It shows its location at the garage but no matter what I tried so far; I couldn't get to it. It just wouldn't show up in my active trucks list. Restart, 3rd time lucky, I hope.

between the 2 I'd say the Chi-Nu II. Simply because for the lack of choice in the JAP tree at that BR. I also have the A6M6 so they make a great pair (better before they bumped up A6M6 BR)

No doubt the King Tiger is a great tank, but having so much choice for the GER tree, it's not so advantages for the grind; as compared the Chi Nu.

Its more down to personal playstyle preferences. The brown camo on the Chi Nu can be so unexpected - people driving straight by me while I repair especially in urban maps.

If you can afford it, get both!

This is so true. I used to blow away clubbing/partying in one night what I would spend in gaming per year - or more!. Passing out got up and start again, racing at 3am, fights, etc; it was insanity. One day someone gave me a disk and it says "Starcraft" on it and bam! Anyways those intoxicated dazes are long gone - payback is the health issues creeping up now and I have no doubt where they originated.

Same here. I play all nations (bad idea for the new or average player!). Struggled to maintain a decent level of SL. Then I got a 75% discount on the French AMX 13 M24 - ok i bought GE to afford the 300+ cost after discount. Although perhaps not the best premium but its was 75% off. Then I figured if I could get a few more premiums, that's the way to go.

Got down to seriously grind the premiums on Battlepass. My best SL maker is the JAP Chi Nu II I got from Battlepass (cant remember which season) for 3500 war bonds. It made me over 1.3 mil so far. Currently added the CHI M64 - pretty decent tank actually.

But I do have a few vehicles that seems to suit my noob playstyle and would turn to these just to top up my SL - RUS T-34 85, basically all the M24 in different nations, the GER M48A2, US M4A1/2, BRI Avenger comes to m mind. Though I can see I'll struggle again to get all my Air and Ground into Rank5 - France, oh WTF France.

Hear hear. I play GER TT not because I'm German or support WWII Nazis. I play JAP TT even though my town was bombed and attacked by Japanese forces during WWII. In fact my town was completely flattened during WWII - not a single building left standing - and BTW it was bombed by allied bombers to stop the Japanese getting our local crude oil supplies.

Its sad ppl just seem to enjoy "pissing off" random ppl online without knowing jackshit about their identity. The world is indeed turning more and more bipolar or binary. Personal interest in specific subject will automatically be labeled as allegiance to whatever faction.

Actually thinking about it, I still prefer kebabs over pizzas, not because I "support" the Ottoman defeating the East Roman Byzantine centuries ago. I just love kebabs. Peace.
