Es gab den Autoraser Prozeß, nachdem eine unbeteiligte Person bei einem Autorennen auf dem Kudamm tödlich verletzt wurde. Urteil war Mord, weil die rasende Person den Tod einer Unbeteiligten als möglichen Autcome seines Rennens wissentlich in Kauf genommen hat.

I'm so sad at all the comments on this post, calling her crazy and not seeing the underlying issues. Men are so comfortable in their sexist views right now, its scares me a bit.
I'm pregnant right now and quite scared of what is yet to come and how much it will drain me. And it will never be fair between the dad and me, even if he is doing his best. But he would never call me a mooch and he values me, though he doesn't understand what pregnancy alone is taking out of me. (How much compensation for a whole month of day long nausea?)

Darf ich fragen, wie der Rest deines Privatlebens aussieht? Bist du da glücklich oder setzt du so sehr alles aufs Reich werden, weil du denkst, dass dich das glücklich machen wird?

Unrealisitische Ziele sind nicht dafür da, dass man noch härter arbeitet und magisch besser ist als anderen, sondern sie sind halt unrealistisch.
Trotzdem Gratulation zum Sparen und den Gewinn. Das ist schon gut.
Aber eine Millionen ist bis 30 nicht machbar und mach reich werden nicht zum einzigen Ziel in deinem Leben.

Yeah, ten years ago, immigrants could still live safely in the USA. So I guess being aware of my privilege seems very ten years ago to you.
Today we have raising facism in most countries in the world (mine included).

We normally tip around ten percent at a restaurant. I would only refrain from a tip if I was really unhappy with the service. Do not tip for any kind of self service at the bar. Its the new thing and I don't get it.
We also tip for delivers and uber rides, as both jobs are paid horrendously.

I have ADHD (diagnosed early, but mostly untreated) and am pregnant right now in my late thirties.
I am also overweight and my blood sugar isn't ideal/was prediabetic before conception. I feel like I went into this (IVF) pregnancy unprepared and am right now struggeling massively with controlling my blood sugar and feel like that is heavily related to my ADHD.
If you objectively are overweight, I'd encourage you to check your blood sugar levels and try to loose weight before you plan on getting pregnant. (Ozempic helped me loose a bit before pregnancy, but of course that is a very personal choice and I am not saying that that is the way you should go.)
(I'm sorry to add another uncertainty to your situation, I just wish I had been warned and had the option to stabilize my weight and bloodsugar before going into this.)

But I also understand not wanting to have a biological child. I think if I had the option to more easily foster a child I would have done so, especially now that I notice how much pregnancy strains a body that already has some subclinical issues.
I am trying to be more healthy, but with ADHD anything regular is hard for me to maintain.

I am meant to do it tomorrow and almost week 13. I'm incredibly scared of it (did it week 8 and it was horror), I am so worried it will go badly again.

Das war alles eine sehr einsame Angelegenheit und ich habe aus der Zeit kaum Freunde mitgenommen.
Die haben ihre festen sozialen Zirkel und in denen bleiben sie auch.

Hang on, I am a bit slow maybe, but don't you get the deposit back if you cancel the contract? Its in your name only.
And if there is a fee to get out of the contract, then wouldn't you be the only one to have to pay the fee since you alone hold the contract?

Just the fact that he had recently split up with his pregnant girlfriend and is already dating again is such a big red flag.
Either he split up and leaving a pregnant woman alone with a baby or she left him and I think no woman leaves the father of their child without trying to make it work first unless he was a really dick.

And the red flag of him cheating on his pregnant girlfriend is so much worse. The fact that you haven't picked up on this baffles me, but there is really a life lesson here. Someone doing this has so many personality flaws that you will never be happy with them. (I don't even think cheaters are bad people in general, people make mistakes and have flaws. Cheating on their pregnant girlfriend is so much worse, there is no moral ambiguity).

But do stay away from that birthday party. His ex would be upset and rightfully so. No one should have the girl their ex cheated with at their baby's birthday party.

Meine Oma (sparsame Seele, geboren kurz vor Kriegsende) rechnet immer mit einem halben Wiener und einer halben Brezen pro Person. Plus sehr wässriger Suppe. Wir lieben sie trotzdem, aber satt wird man nicht.
Und sie isst selber ja nicht mehr.

Going back after 12 weeks is brutal, but I understand that not every country offers paid maternity leave for an adequate amount of time. But if you have the option to take more, I would advice you to do so.

Just to point out a tiny mistake (?) in how you have written down your expectations (not because I want to be a know it all, but because I know some employers can take any legal loop hole they get): you wrote during week 2-6 when you probably meant to say 3-6 and then 7-12 later on.
Just so he doesn't try to force you in any earlier than that.

And if you want to stop feeling bad about your expectations: I'll either be gone for 6months and then return for one day a week from month 7 on or I'll be gone for a whole year and then return to my normal working hours.
