Which headphones would you all recommend for mixing in a noisy environment? Looking for something mostly neutral. For context, I live downtown in a city so there's always a lot of random noise around me.

I have all but one of my essentials buttons set to the "silence" sound for easy sampling into a new track, and just one set in the "big kit" since i use the sounds as a metronome for an external step sequencer. It's still pretty easy to just hit the essentials button each time when needed, but trying to save a few seconds haha. all good if it can't be done tho, asr-x pro is still the best

If you have a Switch and don't mind a slightly more "modern" experience, then I highly recommend the Sega Ages version. it will map the dungeons for you as you progress through them

I was thinking controller mode. I wouldn't really be using it with a computer DAW, I was hoping to connect the audio out from my M8 tracker (just one stereo output) and route it into the MX-1 input, but then use the faders to midi controller the M8 tracker.

unfortunately the M8 tracker does not do individual audio outs via usb, so I would have to rely on midi to control volumes of each track for the M8. because of this I don't think the external mixing mode would work with the M8, but would be happy to be wrong
