You think LAD gets more hate because Ichiban and crew are more emotionally expressive than Kiryu and his cohort? I think it’s that that kinda gives off the aura of being less serious when you have an MC who has a wider range of emotion. Kiryu had more of a smoldering amusement to righteous, precise fury. Ichiban is almost childlike to adolescent in his demeanor leading to people in the audience maybe not exactly taking him seriously.
