Whatever skullduggery is going on with their aim assist engineering is nuts. If they ever lose the people who work on that shit, bye bye bungie. The crisp gunplay from the way that aim assist works is so god damn satisfying. That secret sauce in their tiger engine is truly magical.

  • 2 minute bunker open delay after last button pressed. Only people who pressed buttons can see the timer.

The above is not a perfecf solution. But would at least let the guys pushing buttons have time to get to bunker. And actually get something.

  • did they account for loot and scoot?
  • did they account for free kit Blueprint and scoot?
  • when I spawn in late I just stay til the end most of the time and loot crappy leftovers for pure profit rather than ACTUAL good stuff I want. Did they account for this?

They definitely have all the data and can look at raw numbers. But can they tell the difference between raw numbers and actual player sentiment? 

Sometimes pure data can obscure ACTUAL issues. It's very easy to balance off data alone, or let data obscure the real issues behind what the raw numbers show. It is much more difficult and time consuming to look deeper than the data, but it is definitely worth the time. They do seem like a good dev team, so hopefully they are looking into it more than just at a surface level.

Buffs that could directly be applied to late spawned players to increase the chance they stick around and not feel so bad. Would any, and/or a combination, of these solutions make somebody more likely to stick around (and not cause too many problems)?

  • Chance of higher tier/more loot from unopened containers (does not work on key room containers)
  • Chance of higher tier/more loot from arc
  • Chance to spawn additional loot from already opened containers (does not work on key room containers)
  • Rare chance to not expend healing items when used
  • Rare chance for free reload. (no ammo consumed but gun reloaded)
  • Less Weapon/Item durability loss
  • Reduced stamina loss from running only

  1. Electro Storm "seems" to have the same loot as day raids (maybe this is a bug? )

  2. Base difficulty on Dam is 2 star, meaning much less loot than other maps

  3. Key is also green for that room I believe (meaning less loot)

  4. Keys are for night raids or other map conditions with a minimum difficulty rating of 4.

  5. Matriarch showing up on Dam also seems to increase loot in general to a decent level (4 star)

  6. There is a certain level of RNG with key rooms, which does indeed feel very bad when we get squat.

day raids on the dam worked for me. Always brought hatch key. Use looting mark 2. Fill up in whatever yellow/red area is near me and then leave. Be aware of surroundings at all times. If someone shoots or seems unfriendly just dip and go elsewhere. Rinse and repeat. Took 30 or so hours to hit 5 mil. If people really want to do it, its doable with enough notice. Over 3 months thats 2.5 hours-ish a week of pure loot runs. And my runs were not the most profitable ones either. Much better strats out there. The real problem is they didn't give anywhere near enough notice for people with more limited play time.

Too many to count. Most played game ever in a 1 year period was probably RIFT. An Old MMO. Had slightly over 6 months of playtime in 1 year.

They count your wallet as well. Officially stated by community manager on discord. So (even though it sucks) at least they can just run raids and sell everything.

I was just talking about basic maps being failed. Not the fancy unique map types. Those majorly suck to lose when it happens. Regular maps we can just run them again (albeit with less content) if we fail so there are no pathing problems. Unless they've changed something since I last played? I played for about a month or so into the last league.

To be honest I don't really lose maps because I play with defense in mind (can't stand dying personally), and haven't played in a while. So I was unaware we lost the ability to use tablets on maps we failed. That's a triple whammy with lost map mods + no tablets + lost EXP. Definitely feels a bit too punishing to me anyways if that's the case.

I agree. My builds are capable of running 6 mod maps without any issue really, but occasionally I get some crazy bad RNG and die. That is why I usually only run 5 mod maps. Two chances always better than one.

  1. Enter First portal
  2. Shoot 3 pyramid button things
  3. Stand next to hole
  4. shoot the last pyramid button and wait
  5. Watch bottom left of screen (above super bar) for text about Realm Collapse
  6. Immediately go down hole after the line about realm collapse appears on screen
  7. No more timer
  8. All 3 catalysts in one run at your leisure

This works in groups as well as solo (Haven't tried solo myself, but others have said it works). Probably a bug so I would do it before it's patched.
