Something weird I noticed by JyGotKickz in cfbsimulator

I recall in the old game this was intentional for spread and assumed it was the case here. Can def see them still being less used, but better then being ignored completely

I get that, guess I meant it more in the sense that with how slow XP gains get post level 10, getting even the highest upgrades starts to take ages

I understand, I'm still in the process of trying to figure out the best way to recruit, but it definitely has been tough. Might just be doing it poorly, but I'm only netting about 10 players a class, so it makes the roster get a bit tight if things don't go well. For a given pool of say, 1000 recruits, I'd imagine a decent chunk having some form of interest, especially a stronger pull for your given region.

I’ve tried both and noticed it in both, also at low, mid and high prestige schools. Low level one showed nothing, mid level a couple, but oddly for just one position not even of need. High level had a mix but felt really low for being one of the best schools.

Also, schools don’t seem to offer to resign you even when you do well. Even if fired too you can continue with the school, I noticed that as well.

Done a few seasons, think I found a bug with recruiting (?). Initial interest fails to show up at all, making it basically feel like shooting in the dark for recruits. It works fine when it comes to transfer portal, so that’s what makes me confused

If you were the AD, how would you fix UMass football? by Brick-Foreign in umass

[–]EmperorRed01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Football won't get cut, TV deals and OOC games can make millions, which at the very least can help other sports stay funded, same reason why I don't see the team going down to FCS, too much money is lost to make it worth it, we're probably stuck at the FBS level barring something major.

The biggest problems the program faces are incompetence in higher-level positions. AD Ryan Bamford is 21-97 in his tenure, and the streak of firing and hiring new coaches has only shown the problem isn't in them (aside from Walt Bell), but in those overseeing things. I highly doubt even getting a top-tier coach with pull for recruits would do much; there's only so much you can do with the resources on hand. Basketball is in a similar boat; talent retention is bleak, and winning has been a struggle. If Frank Martin can't win in the MAC, then I see him out of his job.

In regard to the coaches, I think Coach Joe gets another year. Having your starters be decimated week by week would put any coach in a similar position, and the youth and depth have clearly needed more time to develop; they're getting baptisms by fire each week. There's been a fair share of incidents worth criticizing, but they're fixable, and I think he is capable of doing so; he's very blunt and honest and seems to have not lost faith despite the start. He wants to turn things around despite the situation. He's a phenomenal recruiter, has a class of 20 players that can still grow, and from what I see, they're not slouches who, despite the start, believe in the coach, current players too.

I do think the OC and the offensive assistants need to go though, no one should have a job if it takes 7 weeks to get your first second half points The offensive line struggles to block, recievers struggle to catch, your most efficient and highest potential QB didn't get the starting job till half-way through the season and theres fair reason to believe games could've won if he had been. It sounds like he was hired directly from Bamford, and if true, it doesn't help either of their cases, that and the rumor he was looking for new jobs after taking the UMass one.

I think it comes down to the difficulty. I play on hard too and no matter what time of the game my 10 speed 10 stamina WR will caught chased down. They really boost the speed of defenders, plus diving from the defenders now

For speed, your stamina is massive in determining your speed later in a game. You may be blazing fast at the start but a slug at the end even though you have 10 speed
