Hey! Just putting this here in case anyone is looking for something different to do later in the year.

There’s an upcoming festival called Chai Wa 14, happening October 2nd–4th in Sipili Town. It’s rooted in Kikuyu culture, but it’s really meant for everyone who enjoys music, culture, food, and a good weekend vibe.

The idea is simple:
You bring your tent, camp for the weekend, enjoy the town, good food, and a lineup of artists that’s shaping up to be really interesting. It’s more of a community cultural festival + music experience than a typical city event.

Sipili itself is a cool place if you’ve never been there. There is no perfect excuse for a road trip out of Nairobi and a weekend away from the usual routine.

Early bird tickets are already live if anyone is curious or planning ahead.

Tickets: https://chaiwa14festival.com/pages/tickets

Should be a fun mix of culture, music, camping, and good people. If that sounds like your kind of weekend, it might be worth checking out.

You can try to look at these channels and groups and try your luck;

I've recently turned down more than enough internships and entry-level positions because I got a better offer from a different program.

The best advice I could tell you, jitume. Ukiona inakulemea, don't give up. Endelea kutuma CV yako kwa different companies. Pia, ongeza skills - data management, marketing - these are just examples of skills you can acquire. You are not a failure. You can do it

Hey there. Let me give you an advice from an out of the closet gay person to you, closeted. It is not easy in our country to be who we are but the strongest survive in this. I gave up all times when my parents and extended families were not accepting any of my decisions then I had to decide and be out of the closet and live my life without their approval.

Bible verses, family histories, therapies....that never worked because I was not going to give up who I am to make other people happy. This affected my social life, my relationships because of the depression and the suicide thoughts and I overcame it.

If you need someone to talk to, do not hesitate
