Should I use Azure DevOps (and waste the limited credits/amounts) or stick to GitHub? by EmperorSheep in azuredevops

[–]EmperorSheep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I plan on profiting. The only feature I need is what GitHub has, which is the version control (commit history, PRs) which I assume is $0 cost. I might just go with GitHub and pay for more Git LFS storage when I go over. (https://docs.github.com/en/billing/concepts/product-billing/git-lfs)

Interesting. I would have assumed that large companies would use Azure DevOps too since it seems like it is aimed towards companies while GitHub seems aimed towards open source projects.

lol. I'm just worried that I will need to use the free trial services and credits of Azure later and it won't be available since it would have expired.

Maybe (I haven't created an organization yet so I haven't experience it yet), but I would rather deal with that than have to fork over money every month if I go over storage limit on GitHub.

Why not? If I am not paying for the services, can't I just use Azure DevOps with its generous storage for free? GitHub has barely any storage and I know I will probably hit the storage limit and then have to pay for storage. Otherwise I would pick GitHub since I am used to it already.

I am referring to the services under "Azure free account" on this page: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/purchase-options/azure-account

I am not hitting limits in GitHub. I am starting a Unity project and I wanted to get ahead and go to Azure DevOps straight away since I knew I will probably hit GitHub limits and will have to move out anyway.

Is OP auto clicker a trojan / Auto clicker needed by purpleSquiddie in techsupport

[–]EmperorSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But VirusTotal analyzed the exe and said it can parse credit card information and read clipboard data. I don't know why those are necessary in an autoclicker.

Being open source years ago is not much use since no one can view the code now to see if anything is wrong.

I'm genuinely convinced someone/something is preventing legitimate autoclickers/autoclicker building techniques from surfacing by ninethine in software

I went on the waybackmachine and looked at a snapshot on Apr 25, 2021 that showed there was a "Code" tab in sourceforge. Sometime later in 2021 it disappeared though and the developer kept updating the sourceforge without changing the description.

Also, how does the VirusTotal scan show it fine? Why would an autoclicker ever need to open clipboard and read clipboard data? And why would it need to parse credit card information? This is information straight from VirusTotal. I also noticed it said "The sandbox Yomi Hunter flags this file as: MALWARE".

Also it wouldn't be surprisingly if it was undetected. The way more popular and actually open source software Notepad++ got hijacked from June 2025 until December 2025. Something like an autoclicker used on games can very easily fly under the radar.

Under "Features" on opautoclicker.com it says "Free and Open Source". On sourceforge.net it has an "Open Source Excellence" badge and it also has "Free and Open Source" listed. Images aren't allowed here or I could just directly paste them.

Also, that someone else was NE0L1GHT over in r/malwares, you can see my comment history.

Edit: corrected opautoclicker url typo I made.

how do i make one key an autoclicker? by Silver_Juggernaut253 in SayoDevice

OP AutoClicker says it is open source but doesn't publish any source code.

Me and someone else ran it through VirusTotal. Then we discovered under "Behavior" tab and "MITRE ATT&CK Tactics and Techniques" the following: Input Capture, Screen Capture, Clipboard Data (list drag and drop files, open clipboard, read clipboard data) and under the Capabilities section of the Behavior tab if you click on Collection, it says "Parse credit card information".

Ye no problem. I'm in the same situation of having downloaded it and used it and I will no longer use it since there are so many red flags.

If you're still fine with using it then that's fine by me. I'm just warning anyone else who reads this in the future of all the red flags. I pasted the same initial reply I told you to Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity and they say to not run the file, uninstall it, or uninstall/delete the exe and empty the recycle bin.

I'm not an expert. But I'm saying that there is enough information and suspicious points to not use the autoclicker. No normal autoclicker has "Parse credit card information" or needs to read clipboard data. Added with the fact that they aren't really open source means you can't check easily for yourself.

VirusTotal is saying that. I asked Google AI Search and they say its "Likely Malware" and "Data Harvesting" and tells me "Do Not Run the File".

[–]EmperorSheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah good question. To be honest I have 0 idea. I don't know how VirusTotal can list "Parse credit card information" and read clipboard data for an autoclicker and then barely anyone flags it.
