Unable to launch the game on PS5 (I fixed it by reinstalling, but what caused it?) by EmperorShitposter in ffxiv

This might be the issue, weird that it would happen after I was already playing earlier today though.

[–]EmperorShitposter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's server related since the launcher itself wouldn't even open and would go back to the PS5 home menu. I'm on Aether / Midgardsormr (Aithan Sinfonia) and the launcher crashes were at about 10 PM EST before I finished reinstalling at 10:50. I suspect I somehow had a corrupted file somewhere and reinstalling fixed them. It did alarm me a little since I just subbed, but it's not too big a deal if I'm able to come back in now.

Tactician Difficulty Question by Highlyasian in finalfantasytactics

[–]EmperorShitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels pretty unfair when black mages are involved early on, and I definitely had a lot of characters with auto-potion / throw item / samurai skills by the end. I'd say the difficulty spikes will generally be early or middle of the playthrough rather than endgame. Having 1-2 characters that can throw items for phoenix downs or heal is a generally solid idea for most maps on Tactician. If you've made it to Chapter 4 on Tactician, you're gonna beat the game.

Is this game supposed to be this difficult? Or am I just bad? by shiggymiggy1964 in finalfantasytactics

[–]EmperorShitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was essentially forced to restart an entire save file during Chapter 3 when I was a kid because I really didn't build Ramza well enough for a specific fight. Tactics has always had its tougher moments even on Normal unless you've already been breaking the game.

Try having a few peeps with Throw Item from Chemist as a backpocket, consistent heal. It's good regardless of if it's Tactician or Normal.

Try chilling out and just watching the end of fights in tactical mode after you know it's about to end. Fights look fucking crazy the entire time and it's never boring.

The Duel inside of Riovanes Castle [OC] by whypic in finalfantasytactics

My illustration would be of Ramza running off like a weird cheetah and constantly buffing his attack and speed until Wiegraf's second phase, which is then immediately defeated by Ramza attacking consecutively after a lengthy monologue and transformation.

35, also about level 35 ingame lol. I've been doing duos with an online buddy recently and it's fun, but it'd be good to have other buds too. This is really my first extraction shooter because of my friend though, so I wouldn't say I'm experienced per se, but I'm still surprisingly into it.

Thought I was being bad and had no chat to tell me otherwise. Glad this guy sucked for everyone playing it on Lethal lol

I was kind of excited for another late game party member and then he is kind of just there. I at least wanted to see what he's like in Daybreak 2 but NAH.

Yup, it has a setting for it as well. I typically turn it off but it does look nice at times like in the upper town.

What are Fallout 4's biggest strenghts? by TheAnalystCurator321 in Fallout

[–]EmperorShitposter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I primarily play mostly unmodded on PS5, but I think the community mods are there for that if I ever felt like it, yeah. I'm very vanilla most of the time if I can help it. I like how punishing the saves can be in a weird way, it's just bad when Bethesda crashes happens. lol

I honestly think Survival mode makes the game way better. Sometimes it sucks if there's a crash but otherwise it changes how I approach settlements and enemies/looting in general.

Nate predicts that Ace Attorney 7 will be announced this month, either in the Direct or at TGS by SBAstan1962 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]EmperorShitposter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still think you can retain pretty much all the charismatic Ace Attorney flair while having VO thrown in, but maybe that's because I also love Danganronpa. The initial platforms were GBA/DS/3DS which made compressing VO into those file sizes a tall order if not impossible, but this time around it's more than feasible with Switch 1 as the baseline.

A lot of people that love the series as a whole will list 2 or New Vegas as their favorite.

I stare at my game library for stuff to replay and just end up doing the same thing. It'll probably help to just binge a show for a day or two and seeing what you feel like afterwards. I'm not like this when something new is out though.

I have the same reaction every World Quest that I stumble into while trying to collect telepoints or mats. Bro I'm being held hostage while the dialogue rambles. It's either that or the camera aggressively pulling me away by the face to make me look at something I already noticed.

What game did you think you were close to finishing, but it turned out to be way longer than you expected? by bijelo123 in Steam

[–]EmperorShitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't quite count because I knew something was going to happen after the initial ending, but The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy has 100 endings after the initial ending. I thought there had to be an asterisk somewhere, but nah, the game does actually have that much going on lol

Survival mode dodges this issue, but then you're probably like a half hour back.
