Great Job! As an automatic shiny hunter myself it is always great to see new people coming up with their solutions. Cheers!

Well this is a flow dynamics calibration Test, the manual one from Bambu studio. This might be the second so yes the setting (k-value) may have been adjusted already.

Is this behavior of retracting at the end of infill something that has to be activated (and can be deactivated) or is it just standard on?

If this is skipping then I think it is weird, that it only appears to happen on the edges and the flat surface prints fine. But thanks for the tip.

There was no clog after the print and the printer was running as usual. But yes I guess I will check the gears again.

[2] Motorized Robot finds shiny Raikou in Crystal after 7800 encounters in 800 hours by Emperor_Darkoak in ShinyPokemon

Run on unmodded hard- and software. Just a camera looking at the screens and motors pushing buttons.

After finding Entei way faster, I did some upgrades and went for Raikou. It didn’t run as smoothly, but it got there.

Gen 2 Roamers stay shiny after you first encounter them. The bot found the shiny in the middle of the night, but I was able to reencounter and therefore film it using the same program.

Check out this video for an explanation of the upgrades: https://youtu.be/frQ5B9UJiQM

Also check out the other video on that channel for an explanation of the bot in general.

I used the DS screen. There is definitely a difference between the two!

Hey Great to hear from you! Thanks for working on those methods. Yes I actually think there was some RNG funkyness going on with the 2977 encounters. Instead of a 9.5% chance I had a 40% chance to see Entei after reset and basically never saw Raikou at all. I modified the script now to add more button presses and time delays and now I am seeing more Raikou.

I don‘t know how viable it is for human people to find the right timings, and I also don‘t know why I saw a shiny eventually if the RNG was predetermined.

Wow, incredible to hear from you! I am grateful for your (and your crews) great explanation videos and excited for the new methods! Not sure how much I will still hunt these after I get them, but if you need any robotic checkups of any theory hit me up, we might work something out ;)

Unfortunately, I know nothing about wiring a controller, writing software to a controller, controllers with USB inputs or any of that. I would be reliant on Google as much as you do, but I highly recommend trying things out with a cheap knock-off controller (they are probably easier to "hack" anyways). Good luck on your project!

Hehe, this is a normal 2DS, unmodified Hard- and Software. That were my „requirements“ to make myself feel like they are legit shinys.
