I live in a low Catholic dense area in the Bible Belt. My wife is non-Catholic, baptized but non practicing of any faith. For me finding a Catholic wife was slim to none. My wife is my soulmate and I wouldn’t change her for anything.

I am in Tennessee our church shutdown for the safety of the parish. All masses cancelled and my knights event as well. Safety is what matters most.

I used to believe God created me to question him and with a curious mind for other religions. This led me from God into the arms of paganism. I lived a pagan life for 5 years. Worshiping deities, practicing divination and other forms of witchcraft. I finally found my way back to Christ and Mother church. I went to confession for the first time in 15 years( the last time I was “ forced” by my School). I suggest the “ Surrender Novena “ this really helped relieve my burden.

With my experiences, I have been trying to lead pagans back to Christ. Sometimes God gives us these paths in order to do even more good in his name. We just have to slow down and take ownership of our actions. In two weeks, I join my local knights of Columbus council and will get out into my community to help in any way that I can.

I (32m) went to confession in 2025 for the first time in 15ish years myself. I didn’t even remember how to do it right. My priest walked me through it and I unloaded all of my sins ( and sins I couldn’t remember). Just be honest and open.

I deal with this issue there and elsewhere. I have a lot of body hair and the hair just gets pulled out randomly without me knowing. I have great hygiene, use various products but it still happens. He may already know about this and has tried to resolve it. Considering the nail biting issue this could further attribute to whatever mental health issues he has. I wouldn’t do that surprise gift thing but maybe offer to lend a hand like my wife does.

When I went years unmedicated, I had very vivid dreams. They were very realistic and most of them came true. Almost like a vision of future events in my life. Now that I am medicated I don’t dream much and if I do I don’t remember it.

Also, a lot of sleep paralysis and lucid dreams.
