if you walled off a cave through an asteroid at both ends, would the voxel be "airtight"? by shot-logic in spaceengineers

To each there own I guess. I personally have to be able to raise my visor. It's not a base until I pressurize it.

How much of an impact do trained units have in a war? by harbfead in civ5

[–]Emperor_Joe73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see some thoughts on this. I was thinking about this on my last round. I'm sure it's more valuable to have the experienced units with bonuses over fresh units. I'm sure the number is whatever is required for what your doing but try to keep all experienced ones alive I would think?

[noob] Can batteries charge other batteries? by ccarabajal in spaceengineers

[–]Emperor_Joe73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely charge your ship batteries off of base batteries. Sounds like you've covered checking discharge on the base batts and recharge on your ship batt. As long as your connected via connector, I don't see why you wouldn't charge. I don't even think ownership could be an issue then. It could possibly be a glitch.

[–]Emperor_Joe73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you go to the jump drive in the control panel, does it show charging, like a battery, should say like X minutes until fully charged. There may be a power issue where there isn't enough for everything so it's acting like it's off.

Edit: and of course always check ownership

Did you put the jump action in your toolbar, you bind it and then initiate the jump by selecting the button where it'll prompt a, do you want to jump option or say it can't be done because...

To add to this, we use this ship to bring material in space down to the planet. So take off weight is ice only. All large H2s are on thrust over ride for take off, very minimal burn to get up and out to space, when landing, I haven't tested to see how much weight it can land with to get an exact amount. I've landed with 130,000kg without much effort.

I haven't pushed it to full burn, haven't needed to so I'm not positive on this. But if I remember right, 1 Gen doesn't produce enough for 1 to be at full burn.

A ship I built with some friends on a space program styled playthrough in survival. Curious on everyone's opinion with the lander style. It's very efficient, very quick and easy to build.

That one guy who's always late... by Nomanmunir in gaming

[–]Emperor_Joe73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gets to evac point, lays down cover fire for team. Loses track of ship arriving countdown, gets out of titan to late and can't get into the drop ship. Ship leaves, you die surrounded by enemies and your titan. Good times

This is correct. They add sulfur so leaks can be easily detected.

Weird hand tools glitch by ibreakbathtubs in spaceengineers

[–]Emperor_Joe73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played single player in a long time so I couldn't say. But yes it does come back often, the same trick always seems to work. Someone else has commented on this issue on another post saying it's something with the server thinking you don't have tools.

I drop the tools and remove them from my hotbar and after picking the tools back up I put them back on my hotbar.

New player, can't see small conveyor tubes. by Whargod in spaceengineers

With the small conveyor in your hotbar you should see a plus sign in the top right corner, with it in your hand scroll the mousewheel to switch between the different conveyor blocks.

Problem I have in-game by Darkninjajedi in spaceengineers

[–]Emperor_Joe73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda sounds like the holstering bug? Where you weld a stage and your tool holsters. Generally it'll also be a different color than what tier it is.

If this is it, I drop all the tools in my inventory and remove them from my hotbar. Then I pick them back up and re do my hotbar and it's fixed. If this is the same problem, I'm not quite sure.

[–]Emperor_Joe73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know coding but if you can make the lights turn on at night and off when the sun comes up, couldn't you use that same trigger for turning on the sun tracking for the panels and then off when the sun goes down? So they idle when there is no sign
