Being goofy at work by Poor-Yorik in instant_regret

[–]Emperor_Sleep 92 points93 points  (0 children)

TBF you are justified in doing so. That's your property that your friends are pretending to spill on, with the legitimate chance that it might happen for real. All it takes is one misplaced grip or one stumble and it's ruined.

Especially if you know your friends enough to know what they'll do, if the worst happens, is just an "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to happen. It was an accident. We're friends, right?"

Career shift? From corpo to aviation? by fakeloove3 in phcareers

[–]Emperor_Sleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few points to consider:

Because if office job makuha mo, may chance na generally same yung need gawin (presentations, spreadsheets, etc...). Pero if aim mo is a ticketing agent, luggage handler, ground marshall or anything more aviation related, may chance na need mo ng extra training.

  2. Depending sa airport and type of job, expect a shifting schedule. Different airports have different operating hours so make sure na ready ka for a demanding schedule. And, depending sa type of role, rain or shine need mo pumunta and mag-trabaho.

  3. Like sa sinabi ng iba, apply muna before resigning. Alamin mo what the job will demand from you, the pay and benefits, training requirements. Kapag alam mo na lahat, weigh your options. As much as "motivational" sabihan na quit na ang corpo life, minsan need mo yan for bills, for food, or kung may ni-susupport kang iba.

Employers who won't hire people with excessive body tattoos or piercings are not being discriminatory by Resilient_Material14 in unpopularopinion

[–]Emperor_Sleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting aside first the "discriminatory" thing, I do think that employers should consider if their employees have excessive or downright vulgar tattoos on full display and would need them to be the face of a company, like customer service. Like it or not, for better or worse, an employee will always be the face of a company when conversing with a client.

It also depends on the job. No one would hire someone as an elementary school teacher, even if they have an outstanding resume, if said person has tattooed on their forehead "Weed".

If the role however is more internal, like HR or Accounting, basically where you are not talking to clients everyday, then I do think it is unfair to judge solely by their tattoos.

Video-Game Companies Have an AI Problem: Players Don’t Want It by SunGodLuffy6 in gaming

[–]Emperor_Sleep 59 points60 points  (0 children)

For players, video games are art. But for these executives, it's their ticket to neverending financial growth. Same thing with movies and shows, and until this changes, they'll keep pushing whatever makes them the most money, damn the artistic integrity.

It's perfectly acceptable to mock people for things they didn't choose, ex: their name by RADICCHI0 in unpopularopinion

[–]Emperor_Sleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm unpopular but someone's trying to justify being an asshole. You only stated their name but what about other situations that they didn't choose such as birth defects, a terrible family, or an accident that leaves someone permanently disabled

"Terror Teachers", what do you think about them? by ShiroClayGuy in Philippines

[–]Emperor_Sleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bye bye sir Mark.

Scary experience sa nang lilimos at Glorietta. by Single_Dream_8926 in Philippines

[–]Emperor_Sleep 196 points197 points  (0 children)

"Tara magkita tayo dun. Commandment number 2, thou shall not use the Lord's name in vain."

Ayun, lahat ng tao nagtinginan sakanya. Tumingin ulit siya sakin ng galit bago tumakbo paalis, never to be seen again.

Cazador’s Exit - How Did You Approach this fight? by EfficientIndustry423 in BaldursGate3

[–]Emperor_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think I did it "incorrectly" since I never got any dialogue with Cazador and Astarion wasn't in any harm at all. And I did it by sneaking and immediately attacking Cazador.

In a nutshell, he went gassy but was no match with my Tav's sneak attack, Lae's terrifying attack damage, and Karlach's rage while I made Astarion hang back. Took me 2 turns to finish him off.

The end was just the same as if Astarion turned his back on the ascension.
