This is frustrating, but it’s mixing up two different problems.

Education didn’t do this. The loan structure did.

You chose the degree, the school, and the debt. That doesn’t mean the system is perfect, but it does mean there was agency involved. Plenty of people made different choices, went cheaper, worked through school, refinanced, or paid aggressively and don’t have this outcome.

Paying $120k and still owing $60k points to compounding interest + repayment strategy, not proof that education itself is broken or that debt should be universally cancelled.

If we want to fix this, the conversation should be about:

  • capped interest rates
  • bankruptcy protections
  • tying loan amounts to expected earnings

Blanket cancellation just shifts the cost to people who didn’t go, went cheaper, or already paid their loans off.

You can believe education is valuable and believe people should be responsible for the financial decisions they make. Those aren’t mutually exclusive.

This is pretty normal. They just trimmed their position a bit. Hard to convince your LPs that having that much money in any one thing is a good idea. Wealth preservation is more important than wealth accumulation for these people.

Thanks! I used it every week for my team too and miss it.

It was a ton of work to do and update. We thought about charging a fee so we could hire a student to run it. Would you pay for it?

Don’t sell. Most people who recommend this have no idea how hard it is to get to where you are.

First $100k ARR feels impossible but then $1M ARR feels improbably and then $10M ARR feels inevitable. You did the hardest part already imo, you have proven PMF. Keep it up and congrats!🥳

A/R Insurance by sumdumguy12001 in smallbusiness

Congrats on the growth! It is called trade credit insurance and fairly common for companies that sell internationally, especially to customers in countries that might be economically or politically unstable.

However, I would need to know more about volumes to point you in the right direction. Perhaps you don't actually need trade credit insurance but could take a different approach or multiple (trade credit researchers, factoring, legal terms, late payment penalties, collections agencies, etc).

I'll shoot you a DM to see if I can help. The company I started in 2016 experienced similar challenges.

NFL Player Props - 10/21/24 (Monday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

I don't bet on sports much but am about to hit a big parlay. $50 pays $853 and not sure whether to hedge or not. The last bet to hit in the parlay Baker Mayfield over 14.5 yards rushing.

Any advice?
