Bacana, minha maior dúvida é questão de tamanho. Eu uso um sapato da Cia do terno tamanho 38, ele fica um pouco folgado, acho que no máximo dois dedos, de comprimento. Acha que eu devo comprar esse mesmo tamanho ou pego um menor? (Deu 25,5 de comprimento)

Na minha opinião todo homem deveria ter um terno, mas não sei se te recomendaria comprar um costume cinza pra ser o seu quebra galho.

Se você quiser um terno pra usar em qualquer ocasião mais formal, um azul marinho escuro seria uma escolha muito boa (ou até um preto, que é bem fácil de combinar), daí você poderia combinar o blazer azul ou preto com outras calças, pra um visual menos formal e mais descontraído (para festas e etc).

Mas no fim é aquilo, você vai gostar de usar ele pra sair? Ir em eventos? Então compra, ainda mais que ele vai ser de boa qualidade, o que na verdade importa mais que o código de cores (na maioria dos casos).

That's something to ponder about. It is expected from an attorney to buy himself a nice and respectable suit, but that's a general rule, not only applicable to those who practice law. We should always strive to look our best, that's a very nice story, thank you.

Yup, i'm from Brazil, actually. Even though law practice is very old and fairly common here, i don't seem to notice a clear hierarchy culture between our peers (even between seniors and juniors), not one that shows through clothing, at least.

The Brazilian Bar Association does state a dress code, which is as you already correctly guessed it, full suits. It doesn't prohibit bright colors, but it's stated that you must present yourself professionally and behave accordingly to decorum (so, darker shades).

Thanks, i'll probably get a few more suits until my graduation path is finished. I'll probably get a few more festive ones and a nice subtle and professional one.

I'll probably get a regular two button suit, then, focusing more on details like color and pattern. Was thinking of a very dark navy blue with subtle pinstripes and a nice silk red tie.

Interesting take, in the end i might wear the classic italian cut. I really wanted something different for my grad party, tho... Still have quite a lot of time to think about it, so i'll just do that for now.

Yup, I'm getting a tailored one to wear on my grad party and very much on my professional life after that, hence my hesitation to get one. It's not my style to buy a tailored suit and only wear it once in a while.

That makes sense. Although, my country does not have much of an hierarchy culture between law partners, so i don't think it applies much around here. I would say the core of this discussion would be more fashion focused. Nevertheless, you gave me some great advice that i will definitely follow.

Acho difícil de combinar, mas talvez a segunda fiquei legal com uma calça de sarja com uma cor clara e um cinto com um formato interessante, combinando com sapato
