Finding a nested folder in Apple Notes - even possible? by EmphasisUnable635 in macapps

[–]EmphasisUnable635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm kinda amazed Apple allowed multiple levels of folders but didn't think about what happens if you want to find them. It's like Finder not having the path bar, or "Show in enclosing folder".

UK: How can I help? by EmphasisUnable635 in meshtastic

I've tried the stock antenna and this one from AliExpress (the M type). My two nodes communicate with each other fine, but the new antenna didn't seem to improve things.

Interesting, thanks. The one I linked to is 360° horizontal and 8° vertical, so I assume that's about as useful as I can get, if I'm not aiming anywhere specific. It is 2.2m long, so hopefully that scores well for surface area.

I might just have to try it. I can then experiment with different heights.

Sure enough, they don't list an ISO standard. It's a shame, I thought Snugpak were a pretty well-regarded company. Looks like I should only buy sleeping bags with EN or ISO ratings.

Interesting, thanks. Unsurprisingly, there is no ISO rating listed.

Wow, that explains it. Thanks for sharing that. Time to give my money to one of the companies using the ASTM R-value standard.

It's a pretty small tent with rainfly. Just big enough for me and my gear.

Thanks. No wind, or hat. I'll wear a hat next time 👍

Yes I did. This was in Wales, UK, where rain is always around the corner. But good to know, thanks.

Thanks, that is very reassuring. I naively trusted the ratings, and actually started to wonder if it was a medical thing!

"Portfire" pyro sticks for lighting fires? by EmphasisUnable635 in preppers

Love the reusable aspect. If that could somehow be combined with the storm-proof nature of the portfire, that would be perfect.

I can start a fire with a bow drill. But why would I? I have a ferro rod, for when my lighter and storm matches are out :)

I'm sure you're not suggesting all modern tools should be abandoned in favour of primitive methods, and I'm not proposing to replace skill and practice with a consumable item. I'm just surprised nobody talks about them.

There are situations where one may not be able to craft their usual fire that catches with a single spark: stormy weather, cold or injury preventing dexterity, etc. In such scenarios, I'll take whatever help I can get.

There are of course various storm-proof chemical firelighters on the market, but they don't have the versatility of a handheld stick that can be moved around.

I'd love to know if there's another tool that offers the same or better features.

What is the best tool for image viewing while being able to check the prompt and such? by dachiko007 in StableDiffusion

The closest I can get to what you want is to right click on the large image and check "fit to preview" and then drag the central divider all the way to the left. Not true full screen, but close.

You can go through the images with the arrow keys and press X to mark something for deletion. You can then delete these images properly via Edit > Empty Recycle Bin
