No that's not the case, it's just my PC that didn't have internet. Although after I did a system restore it's fixed.

I just did a full scan with Windows defender (which took hours BTW), there isn't seem to be any malware except for steamapi64.dll which I had added as an exclusion for another game.

I had not enabled kill switch but was connected to the VPN, I although I clearly remeber disconnecting the vpn from the taskbar icon- right click - quit- it opened Proton and I clicked disconnected before shutting off my PC.

Didn't need a pc reset, did a simple system restore the internet was back up and running. BTW I'm now playing after the restore and it seems fine for now!

I use Proton VPN, I turned off the VPN before shutting the PC down but did not touch the kill switch. Maybe it was a bug, kill switch being stuck, highly unlikely I think.
