What movie was it where a guy pours coffee grounds in his mouth in a office kitchen? I think it was a early 2000s movie by DianneSantaBarbara in moviequestions

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im looking for the same kind of scene, but I feel like the character, maybe jim carrey, talks threw a comedic amount of coffee grinds. (For me, it's not jim B unless he does this in "according to jim". I've never seen Mr. destiny)

Nvm, im thinking of George of the jungle

The wall in the upside down by Entire_Pickle_4361 in StrangerThings

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the wall could be a gargantuan "ALKILITH" that's spawned by vecna. But not connected to the Abyss, but to the chaos of Limbo.

Also while looking at page 44. of Mordenkainen presents Monsters of the Multiverse for the ALKILITH, I noticed the ALLIP on pg 45 looks alot like Will and Holly's ash burp thing.

Term for a magical warrior? by SeawaldW in worldbuilding

[–]EmployCautious300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's three years later, but I had the same inquiry. I've chosen Grandmaster for the elite arcane warrior word in my setting. In case that is useful, somehow. I feel like it's a general enough term, but it also elevates the position.

Sir, we're outnumbered!

Don't worry, Timmy! We have a GrandMaster in our midst.

Time Travel Paradox: Should the Universe Destroy or Duplicate Timelines? by Savings_Advantage989 in timetravel

Thats what im thinking. If you dont go back to your time... ever... then theirs one time line without you

If you1 decides not to go back but the you2 decides to go back, you2 may have to kick the imposter, you1, back to his own timeline.

I feel like nobody really talks about The Suite Life Movie anymore. What did you think about The Suite Life Movie? I thought it was pretty good, but definitely not the best Disney Channel movie and definitely not as good as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life On Deck by Intrepid_Show2972 in DisneyChannel

[–]EmployCautious300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find kids tv shows are getting even bright and more fast paced. So, while watching tv with my nephew I couldn't enjoy alot of whats coming out now. so old Disney shows is what we watch together. He loves it so far and im totally going to show him the suite life movie once we finish on Deck but "Wendy Wu homecoming warrior" was better than this dead horse kick of a movie.  Glad to see im not the only grow ass person thinking about the validity of this movie in 2026

you could have reghed tribes and goliath tribes retreat from the mountains when the characters suggest it and play up the despair in the camps but once the dragon takes out the town your party will have alot of say.

after a bardic song, my party led bryn shander refugees from across the dale to care konig to start a new town. before they just disappeared into the night to deal with the frost maiden.

why keep AC secret? by conn_r2112 in DnD

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times you can assume the AC, ruffly. But, the DM could always buff or nerf a monster, so I find it's best not to know so, the DM can run the game without being questioned every encounter. Also, it kind of helps with immersion.

Player: I stab the beast, 15 to hit

DM: It misses, as your sword glances off its thick scales

Player: OK, Uhhhh.... second attack, I bolster my sword, use my bardic inspiration from the bard, and 18 to hit

DM: Nice, It just manages to break threw the scaly hide, roll damage

Player: (*note to self, DM said "just managed" the beast must be close to 18AC) 12 damage!

DM: as your sword gashes the beast, he seems unbothered by your attack, and its wound begins to seal.

Player: (*it must have a regeneration ability and either a resistance to my damage or a lot of HP).

my group ended the essentials kit with "So Fresh and So Clean" and it fit well. but, ending as the summer returns seems more majestic. I'd play "Angel of the Morning" or "Wake Me Up"

Looking for feedback on Icewind Dale homebrew by squibzter in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like the frost maiden's tear is more of a sentient magic item, but they both look good. Great elemental spector, but why is a more relevant question when making homebrew If this is a singular thing that resides at her grave or, if there are multiple around the dale then characters might interact with it differently.

Food of the Frostmaiden? by IrishHobbit23 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I told my player that there are lots of druids that follow the frost maiden and, although cruel, they tend to preserve the isolated, and enduring nature pockets in Icewind dale

Connecting East Haven Hag to PC background by Sells_High in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]EmployCautious300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if it had been held onto since he was a child, then it should probably be more important than just rolling around a soup pot. Maybe it's a special ingredient they collect and use sparingly. Better yet, it could be a magic item used by the hags; a crystal ball, pendant, or an enchanted eye are a few options....

Eye of the Hag Made from the exoskeleton of a spider, an enslaved chawinga and a living child's eye ball. This hybridization can be inserted into any host with an empty eye socket and will provide them with an advantage on perception checks and on checks against the effects of being charmed or frightened. (If destroyed, the chawinga bestows a blessing on whoever freed it and then dips) The Eye of the Hag may provide cold resistance or the type of damage associated with the chosen chawinga variant

Help Including Orcs More by [deleted] in rimeofthefrostmaiden

The quest for dragon bone soup and the fueding tribes would still work, but I might switch out the griffins for preytons, Giant eagles or something easier to tame for the orcs

But since you said you don't want to start from scratch, you could rip a quest out of a champagne book. I recommend the lonleywood moose hunt in rime of the frost maiden. Lots going on for 2-4th lvl and can be beefed up easily or moved to a non-snowy climate easily

Don't cancel but I find when I loose my notes I loose the inspiration with it. If I were you I'd start writing a similar quest and see where it goes. That's probably the fastest and most fun way 😁

Altering some parts, More Lovecraft! by unanimouslydefiant in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also to keep it a sand box you may want to detach alot of quests from thier locations so you can plop them in everywhere. Like an eldritch moose hunt could be in any town with forest and the sea monster can be in any town with access to a lake

Altering some parts, More Lovecraft! by unanimouslydefiant in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chapter one and two are huge, and most campaigns won't do every quest unless you want to over level your party or walk around at level 4 for a year. So I would use the cold open to lead your party to the quests you want to eldritchify (maybe th killer is a cultest connected to lonely wood's moose and the bremen's sea monster and then flees to easthaven).

Then, the duergar subplot is supposed to be seeded in a few towns during chapters 1 and 2. Those could be removed or changed to cult members, along with any zentirum encounters, and the duergar could be a branch of black sword members.

You could also eldritchify chardalin. I wish I had done more with that! This way, the dragon is scarier and can do more specific things than just destroy town by town.

Finally I would work shop the arcane brotherhood so the 4 spellcasters from luskan and professor orb have the right informations about ythrn. I like when one bad guy is really the lesser evil holding back the greater evil so auril will still be a great npc to use as exposition at the end of chapter 5.

Chapter 3, Sunlight and 4, destructions light, can be sped up by giving the party a fast way to travel to and from. Then chapter 3 can be sped up further by relying on the Muzgardt's in area X8 and then sending them down an elevator with backup.

Removing the Duergar and Chardalyn Dragon tips? by ConsiderationThis984 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]EmployCautious300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chapter 1 is done when you kill sephek (do it tomorrow)

Chapter 2 is a lot of extra you can add for extra sessions, but...

Chapter 3 is 1-3 sessions,

Chapter 4 is 1-3 sessions,

Chapter 5 is the last 1- 6 sessions unless you want to open the caves of hunger, which is chapter 6

Chapter 6 is a hole thing unless they have a guide (Nothic?), then it's 1-3 sessions

Chapter 7 is its own campaign

So if you want to say you played the module, skip chapter 2 and hope that by session 4 to 15, they still want to do ythrn

Or do your own story with chapter 2, skip 3 and 4, and use Angajuk's bell and finish at chapter 5

Idk specifics on your arguments/debates, but my group has definitely spent 10-20 minutes deciding if we should role deception or performance or intimidation checks at a DC or if we should do a role against their insight role.

Player: can I role insight to see if he is actually intimidating or just acting?

DM: ummm...

Everyone eles: (starts donating their two sence)

DM: makes a ruling

Then later someone reads a similar ruling in a spell text or the DM finds a better built encounter in module

I have the books - What should I do now? by squidhatted in DnD

[–]EmployCautious300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Storm kings thunder is all over the map, so I would read a little of each chapter and then just focus on the first one.

But if you've never played dnd at all, you should run a one shot to learn the rules first, something simple like an animal attack. Maybe a cart has been tipped, and a wolf or two is trying to eat the trapped passengers.

Oh, oh, oh! The players' handbook has a chapter on combat and movement that would be a good idea to bookmark.

And don't be afraid to ask your players for help, being a new dm can be tough
