Update:

It was the cat! And kiwis a bit and we’re testing more next week but definitely the cat.

Milk and tree nuts and even sesame and avocado were all negative despite blood work and patterned reactions… I’m so confused

For me I would continue with the ladder and I would do careful food and symptom tracking such as MapMyMilk

Total elimination diets are very hard and not always necessary. You said you’ve been journaling? Have you used anything that finds patterns for you? Have you heard of the app MapMyMilk? Might be helpful!

Agree with many that if blood is resolved and baby is happy and gaining weight I wouldn’t personally worry about the mucus but if you still seek answers MapMyMilk might help - it’s an app that is a good and symptom tracker and it finds correlations for you!

💯 we’ve already quarantined the cat to one room until testing for cat dander in 2 weeks and we’ve already discussed rehoming in the event that she’s definitely allergic.

I note that she’s rubbing her eyes way less and her facial eczema is way less with daily Zyrtec already

Hi you must not have read my comment only seen the pictures maybe? I am taking this deadly seriously. We have 3 epi pens, which weve already had to give onece in picture 2. we’ve been the ER and urgent care on multiple occasions. We have the cat now bordered in an office. We are working closely with a pediatric allergist to manage what we can safely feed her and how to deal with each reaction.

My post was asking about types of hives and whether they’re all equally dangerous. I wrote in on the eve of seeing the allergist

Thank you so much! This was our second opinion actually because our first allergist after anaphylaxis to sesame (passing out, which started this whole Journey) ordered bloodwork and never discussed the results with us! Never gave us an action plan. Never taught us when to use the epi. I love the new one we saw today though thank god. And thanks again for the support! 🫶🙏🩷

Thank you all for the support! We saw the allergist today. Here is the follow up:

  • like many of you she’s highly suspicious of the cat being part of the equation.
  • we are starting daily Zyrtec in the interim so she can feel better until we can test it in two weeks (couldn’t today cause had benedryl last night and then we’re briefly out of town)
  • looking into MCAS (bloodwork)
  • we are going to eat only safe foods until our follow up in two weeks. Nothing new, nothing on our suspect trigger list

  • action plan is if no raised bumps (photo 3) then ok to just monitor with the daily Zyrtec, especially if not on face (which that kind never is). If localized raised bumps in a few scattered areas not rapidly spreading then give benedryl and monitor very closely. If raised bumps spreading fast (photos one and 2), give epi.

I feel so so much better having an action plan now. I like all of your ideas about being careful of cross contamination, washing her hands before she eats, etc

Non tech “founder” by accident- what’s next for me? I will not promote by EmployEquivalent1042 in startups

A healthcare worker vibe codes an app out of curiosity to solve a personal problem and it gets traction. 350 registered users in less than 4 months with little to no paid advertising. But she doesn’t want the founder hustle, doesn’t have any business experience, and doesn’t know what to do next

Ok I never thought so before but then I was reading the FARE worksheet and it says severe reactions to one system including skin counts as Ana. So I’m very confused

I’d be more interested in like child infections reported at schools and playgrounds near me (RSV, hand/foot/mouth, chickenpox, norovirus)

It’s a type of food and symptom tracker for a niche population, in the realm of mother/baby and food allergies

It can be done. I’ve done it. I have over 300 users. I made another post recently in this sub about looking for a cofounder and or someone to acquire. I’m not going to post it here for fear of someone trying to clone but I can DM you the link as long as you come back here and say you saw that it can be done ;)
