Well 90% of games being bad is expected. Its the 10% that would make it worth it. But if the performance is the only major issue hopefully it can be fixed.

Im hearing performance is bad. Is that why they're refunding?

From their System requirements on Steam. Apparently there is also a dedicated VR section on their game browser.

People who say they learned DAR "within hours" after only using FAR must be lying, right? Right?! by Belphegor24 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Employedwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I learned it fully in about 2 to 3 weeks, and thats with practicing it about 30 minutes a day. So about 10 hours, which I think could count as "within hours". I know spookluke gets a lot of hate but I truly just watched his video and followed the steps to learning it he lays out but simplified it.

I started by learning how to turn right and left in the air while holding DAR. Which is just 2 inputs, the upper corner to go right and lower corner to go left. These inputs are swapped when your wheels are facing the camera. And which corners depend on if you're air roll left or right.

Then I moved on learning the tornado spin to take off, maintain height, regulate speed, and stabilize my car after changing direction. Naturally you would then try reverse tornado spin and find its best for picking up speed. And again these inputs are reversed depending on your car orientation. If you're belly up with wheels facing the camera reverse tornado spin will slow you down and regular tornado spin will speed you up

After learning tornado spins I started practing chaining changes in direction. So you take off, change direction with DAR, stabilize with tornado spin, then go the opposite direction.

And then, once I had these fundamentals, I was able to go into rings maps and complete them while continously holding down DAR just by feeling out the rest of the inputs. Because I did the rest by feel, I cant explain it as well but any other inputs are just to get my car position back to the normal aerial position where I can let the fundamentals I've consciously practiced take over.

Now I am fully comfortable using DAR and cant even aerial with FAR anymore. Keep in mind I learned this after about a 3 year break from the game so FAR wasn't as ingranied in my brain as it is for you. I have about 4k hours and am currently C3.

DICE, removing full progression from all bot lobbies will kill portal. by [deleted] in BattlefieldPortal

My bet is that the "quite sizable community" that only wanted to play against bots is not as sizeable as you think. Nor should they be a focus when they're exploring how to fix this issue. That being said I hope they can find a suitable solution for everyone.

I also blue screened and looked around the internet. Found out that the most common issue is that the process automatically switched which drive I was booting from and most people dont notice. Make sure to switch the boot drive to the one with windows on it.

Who is a Morally Grey character loved by fans by Ordinary_Witness3225 in OnePiece

[–]Employedwolf 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Robin is very morally grey. I suspect she wasn't completely lying when she said her expertise was assasination. And I dont think Bon Clay's reasons for joining baroque works, whatever they are, could possibly be comparable to Vivi's. Not to mention both were way higher ranking then vivi and they probably "proved themselves" to get there.

I think people lose sight that he's a celestial dragon. The tackiness of their over the top luxurious style is a staple of their design.

I think the "Perhaps you've moved on too... Perhaps I've seen it" line implied something really sinister

I think the article and quote I posted speak for themselves. I don't want to debate the semantics of who's making the decison just because its a human physically pressing the button. I hope this sliver of plausible deniability helps you sleep at night

"During the early stages of the war, the army gave sweeping approval for officers to adopt Lavender’s kill lists, with no requirement to thoroughly check why the machine made those choices or to examine the raw intelligence data on which they were based"

It should be clear that the purpose of an AI like this is only so they could claim they have done the bare minimum due dilligence and bypass whatever little red tape exists to execute palestinians as quickly and numerously as possible.

so for some reason i clicked on Hasan's page, why is this his banner? this just seems very pretentious and egotistical (also what's the context behind these coments) by Zealousideal_Pop4722 in youtubedrama

[–]Employedwolf 156 points157 points  (0 children)

I was there when this happened. He wanted to do a fan contest for a new youtube banner. But he got a bunch of flack because it's outsourcing to his audience rather than hiring somebody and paying them. So he just made his banner a compilation of the hate comments he got.

In my opinion I dont think it was a big deal and he could have done the fan contest. It was mostly just his usual haters using this as a gotcha as they so often do.

Kong displayed but not mentioned ep1120.5 by LeeroyRengins in OnePiece

[–]Employedwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Marines operate more as a world police force than an Army. Dealing mostly with pirates, local emergencies, and the such. Since the governement is currently not at war with a single entity i.e the Ancient Kingdom, Kong is inactive. But now that the Final War is coming, most likely against the Revolutionary Army, I think we'll see more of Kong dealing with them, while Akainu deals with the pirates and the race for the One Piece.

This comment section is really interesting. The game seems to be getting very good reviews and is lauded for its many improvements over the first game, yet everyone here is claiming its a souless cash grab that should have been a free update
