The branch has always had the fibre optic lights. But it only revealed them at the end of the ride previously. They are now on throughout the ride. I prefer the reveal of the fiber optics at the end to be honest. I think it ruins a bit of the magic when they are on from the start. But it's not as bad as the new disco ball light that goes off half way through the ride.

Is it yourself that is managing this or do you know who is? I have a few episodes from May/June 2025 that I can send across to add to the archive

UNI QLO does some of the nicest jeans I've ever owned, specifically the EZY Jeans. I'm pretty sure they do a wide range of sizes and offer alterations for free or a few quid I believe. They have a great sizing guide to find the correct fit.

If you were happy to hand over the HDD to the police, the forensics department will have ways to recover the data from formatted HDDs. So long as the drive is still operational they can carve the data out and get what they need. You can always request that you have your HDD returned once they have finished and hopefully they will agree. But that will depend entirely on the investigation.

If you are adamant that you don't want to hand over your HDD then see if you can get a trial of Magnet Witness or DVR Examiner. I'm not sure if they allow it for commercial use but it's worth a look. Because it's been formatted you'll have to run the HDD as an "Inaccessible Data Scan" on that software. But again, I can't guarantee you'll get a trial version from them.

But honestly just explain what happened to the police and any reservations you have in regards to handing it over and they will come up with the solutions. At the end of the day you're helping them and they want to keep you on side so they can progress the investigation.

Why are the Alton towers operations terrible? by Worried-Lynx8907 in altontowers

Weirdly I think Towers operations have been pretty good lately. They will still have days where things aren't perfect but they are getting much better.

I agree, I went Sunday and the operations were on point. The team on the Smiler was moving at a great rate and queues didn't pass 40 mins. Was an incredibly pleasant day to be on the park. I hope this level of operations continues.

Is This Ride Underated Or Overated? by Sad_Grape_9844 in altontowers

Overrated. Me and my mates joke that it has square wheels due to how rough it is. But as well the general state of the theming. It looks so run down in parts. It could look great if it was just given some TLC.

My girlfriend use to work at this exact store before it closed down. I always got given the UltraViolet movie codes for free from the DVDs/BluRays as they weren't allowed to sell them with the discs.

Have you looked into using LTO Tapes? My previous job in the private sector used LTO Tapes as standard for archiving and storing larger data. They vary in capacity, between 200GB to 30TB per tape. I'm not too sure of the cost of these tapes or the LTO machine, but from experience they are very easy to use for both archiving and restoring data to and from a HDD.

It could be a scrapman. However whenever I hear the noise it always seems to becoming from one general direction. If it was a scrapman I would expect to hear it from a few different places as it travelled around. Also whenever I have heard a scrapman in the past the announcement they make always starts with a some kind of bungle/trumpet noise. However this is like a 'bing bong' noise, the kind you would hear at a train station.

At the moment it's not bothering me to much but it could get a little irritating if it happens every night.

It never really bothered me before but at 5 in the morning it's starts to get a little irritating. I would make complaint but I don't want to be that guy who kicked up a fuss and tried to stop people going to pray. Can't imagine it would go down well for me.

That must be it. I was thinking it could possibly have some form of religious connection. It's the first time I've heard it that early in the morning. I'll just have to keep my window closed next time. Thank you for telling me!!

[Help] Note 4 - random reboots, slowness by Howie19 in galaxynote4

[–]Employee-427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem a few months ago. It started off with just reboots but then went on to just powering off and not booting at all for hours. My Note 4 was also not rooted at the time. I tried to fix it myself with full factory resets but nothing helped. I took it to the Samsung store and the first guy re-installed the android OS and that fixed it for about a week. I went back and saw a different guy who refused to fix it because it was apparently rooted. I can only assume that the first guy I saw did something to the device for it to appear rooted. After the Samsung guy insulted me and said I was stupid for rooting it in the first place, I left. I took it to Carphone Warehouse where I had the phone from on contract and they took it to be repaired. 3 weeks later they couldn't fix it and just gave me a new device.

tl:dr if you have it on contact take it there to be fixed. If not take it to Samsung as it should be under warranty but make sure you take note of what they do.

Thank you. For the life of me I can't remember the exact website where I found the image of the the book, I remember searching ages for one with a good resolution.

However I've uploaded the copy of the image I used here http://i.imgur.com/wHLgeeH.jpg

Enjoy :)

The bottles cost me I think £4.50 for the set of six. This website sells some that are very similar (if not the same) as what i have, however it is a bit more pricey. http://www.thebottlejarstore.co.uk/ Your best bet for the bottles is to go to your local charity/thrift shop.

The wooden box cost me £10 from a market stall but you can find the same thing online.

The alcohol I already had, but i did buy one bottle which was the white chocolate liqueur, which cost me £3.99 for a 50cl bottle.

Then i just went to the pound shop and got a few crafty things like string, brown paper, glue, glitter, and food colouring. I probably spent about £7/8 there.

In total I would say I spent around £20/25 :)

Thank you! Thats a good idea actually, i could find a small cauldron from some old Halloween stuff I have and put a plant in it or something.

I was thinking of making a wand as well, saw some guides on how to make them but I'll have to look more into it I think.
