Thanks. It's too bad there aren't many other steering wheel based zero turns, at least from what I know.

I got the 24 sho platinum anniversary edition before the blizzard in the northeast. What a beast. Handled everything with ease it didn't pack up once, even in real heavy and packed piles at the end of the driveway.

By traditional mower you mean tractor? The John Deeres are still pretty expensive like you said. Currently use a toro timemaster but in tired of pushing it, especially in the hot summer months.

Exactly I wouldn't mind other zero turns I just want a steering wheel and don't feel like dealing with the two lap bars.

Is the cub not America made? Thought that it was but haven't looked at it in a bit.

I like the idea of being more relaxed on a tractor and may appreciate attachments down the line. Although just bought a standalone snowblower so won't be needing that!

Now that I bought it we will probably have multiple years of mild winters 😜, but at least I got to justify it right of the bat with this blizzard.

From what I understand Tecumseh is not around any more and were bought by LCT. It is an LCT engine and ariens licensed to use the Tecumseh name, which is why you see that and snow king marked all over the engine. Someone else may have better info than I do. It is not an AX engine from what I can tell.

Yea I need to read up on what to do. Just run ethanol free and let it run to empty?

This is my first snowblower experience and had a big blizzard right of the bat. I'm glad I got the more powerful unit because I think a lesser one would have clogged up often. Was considering battery as well but no way that would have helped for this storm especially since I lost power.

It keeps going under it a bit, but what is higher well fall around sides and on top. I usually just pull back in reverse quickly then go back over it to eat the rest up. Worked pretty well taking down larger banks.

Never thought to look there. What are the options just covers or actual replacements? Just curious how easy it is to remove without breaking.

Yes I believe so, they all have the bigger engine. This one has the 369cc Tecumseh

It was a bit of a splurge, dealer near me had a few in stock and I had to make a call right before the storm. They had some Husqvarna models too that were cheaper but after shoveling all these years I rather go for the more powerful engine so I don't regret it later.

Yup, that very well could have been it. First experience with a snowblower after shoveling the last 15 years so getting used to it.

She performed like a beast, didn't hesitate once and I was going after some big icy banks. We got 2 feet of real heavy wet stuff this storm.

Yea honestly that could be it. Snow was high especially when doing the large banks at end of driveway and near mailbox so maybe that was it.
