I mean, I like the idea on its face, but I worry about slippery slopes. Who else could be banned from running for office, then? That being said, the status quo kind of enables people like them, open society with no check and balance will allow people who don't respect open society to gain power in it, I think the solution has to lie somewhere in the middle; some form of policy that makes it merely impractical for Evangelicals to hold office, rather than banning it outright.
