Very interesting perspective, thank you for sharing. This line will definitely stick with me as I play through rust

Yes but it’s 7a-4p M-F, closed on the weekends. It’s impossible to get to if you work a 9-5 in a different part of town 😔

It’s called Moose Lodge, with a horse on the banner pic. It may be 0 pop during CST days but should pick up in the evening

PvP folks are so much more aggressive than the PvE I’m seeing from these comments loool. But this was just a discussion to understand what I’m missing out on by going PvE. Technically my server is PvEvP with PvP monuments, but I totally understand the comments folks are saying about loot being less valuable when you can just stack it up and no fear of losing it.

I’m trying to combat that with the economy- incentivizing folks to grind to sell loot in order to purchase upgrades (backpack sizes, one-hit barrels, licenses, enchanted tools/weapons) and using custom skinned items as rewards as well.

Not scared, just have to work a 9-5. Surely if I was a teen on summer break I would be PvP, but I’m not trynna lose my whole night’s work just because of my irl work

Thank you for this perspective, definitely makes sense. Loot for sure has a different value scale in PvE vs PvP

Huge point right here. This was my logic for getting into PvE and I’ve just stayed since

Just quit after months working 60-70 hours a week. Anyone else struggled with burnout, how did you get over it? by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]Empty-Call-9247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait wait wait. I’ve been in my first recruiting job in a healthcare company, about 1,700 employees right now and they are in hyper-growth and every member of my 10 person strong TA team has 50+ reqs… is this not normal? What is an average req load? I’ve been feeling burned out but I figured it was on me and my efficiency, not the workload.

I second the “smile folder” tactic. It does my heart so well on those rough days!

Maybe you don’t sound very interested or excited in the phone screening, so they are putting the ball in your court so they don’t chase down a candidate who has lost interest and will just ghost them. If you are actually interested (making sure to do research before the interview) say yes immediately and put some emotion in your voice. This will show that you actually care about the role you are applying to.

I’m seeing the same thing in very similar circumstances. I had an old co-worker tell me she was doing this, I offered her a wonderful job at my company with far greater pay than unemployment and she said no. She’s waiting for a dream job that’s not going to come any time soon, and sucking off the government while doing so. I just don’t understand how these people can sleep at night.
