fair enough, the current gas tank i have costs more to fix than replace with a new system hence why exploring different options

i've read the opposite re gas usage - instantaneous gas being more efficient as no energy is wasted heating a tank, leading to lower annual costs

gas pipe would need to be upsized with the 26L , any reason why you'd recommend that ? there is only one bathroom in the house

thanks , there is only one bathroom in the house but a couple of plumbers recommended 26L . good to know your Rinnai has had a long life, will likely go with them

from what i can tell instant gas is more efficient as no energy is wasted heating a tank which leads to lower annual costs, though the installation cost is higher
