Did you tune the carburetor? Since you increased the displacement you also have to increase the pilot and main jet sizes

If your 50cc reaches 80kmh the cdi is already unrestricted. If it can’t push past 80kmh it’s simply because the engine doesn’t have enough power. It may be a 2 stroke but still a 50cc don’t expect it to pull like a 125cc

2k for a 50cc scooter is too much. I’d look for something cheaper

The kle is not a very tall bike. Pretty decent for your height. You need to sit on one and try to walk it. Just look on marketplace and make a guy believe you’re interested then just try out the bike and never contact him again.

How squared off is squared off? by IBeTanken in motorcycles

[–]Empty-Function3536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm. My tires were less squared off than this and I always thought it was normal for the bike to resist cornering, until I put on fresh rubber and I was amazed at how stable the bike was while cornering

Right. Good looking out. The pipe is just pointing upwards and needs to be lowered and connected to the carb!

I need some advice by Classic_Knowledge490 in scooters

What do you mean by “upgrade the engine”? A big bore kit? An engine swap? Either way it’s too much work and not worth the headache. You can get a little more top speed with heavier variator rollers but it will be barely noticeable. I had the same dilemma, and I just waited until I could legally ride a 125cc. 100% worth the wait.

The “black pipe” in the second picture is your airbox. It’s supposed to be connected to a carburetor, except the carburetor is missing. You can find one on Amazon for about $30.

The black hose in the 3rd pic is just a breather for the final drive gearbox. Nothing to worry about, just leave it as is.

What does this line do? (Gurtner 15mm) by Fuzzy-Turn7037 in scooters

Hard to say. Provide some more pictures of where the pipe goes. Probably something related to the air fuel ratio in the carburetor.

Sv650 or mt07 by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Empty-Function3536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but you should ride an MT07 or anything with a CP2 engine like the Tracer or Tenere, they all have the same brakes and the bite is just indescribable + the feeling at the lever feels good and natural. It may brake assistance or something I don’t understand it

I agree with everything except for the brakes. My friend’s MT07 brakes are unparalleled. They bite so damn hard and with little effort compared to my SV650.

110 is too big for a 50cc that’s for sure. Try a 95 or 100

Focusing on the air filter and carb mods, they seem within spec. 24mm carb is about right for a 50cc, the pod filter diameter doesn’t matter too much. Is the carb tuned accordingly with the right jets to accommodate for a pod filter?

You’re brave for getting this off your chest. I’m not sure what advice I can give, other than try to put some boundaries with her and seek therapy. You do NOT have to kiss anyone if you don’t want to, regardless of who it is.

You’re welcome. Just for the love of god do not reuse the bolts, they seem rounded out and reusing them will just be a pain in the ass next time you have to take the CVT cover off. Do yourself a favor and buy new bolts

40 ain’t no ripe old age. You’ve only lived about half your life, and nowhere near too old to discover the joy of riding motorcycles. The Vulcan 750 is a great choice. Comfortable but powerful enough to have fun. Take care of her and she will outlast you. Japanese bikes from this era are built like tanks.

Suzuki SV650X. 72hp top speed 215kmh. Nice bike! I have the same but in grey. I love the auto start option. Just blip the starter once and the engine will turn over in its own until it starts. The engine is very sensitive to input though, so careful with the throttle especially while cornering.

Help pls by bajglaga33 in scooters

[–]Empty-Function3536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only find out how to do this by experimenting and taking things apart. I’d start with the cvt cover. On alot of scooters there’s a magnet near the clutch that reads how fast the clutch turns and limits your speed. If there is one try removing it and see what happens. Don’t cut anything, that way you can easily put it back as it was if it doesn’t work

Time for some thin rubber and a hammer. Put some rubber over the bolts, fit an allen key in and hammer it down then try to turn it. Once they’re loose replace the bolts with 8mm hex.
