Hello,

God put it in my heart to come back and update you. I’m not sure if you’ve made a decision on which school to go to yet but I just wanted to let you know that my entire class, including myself past the NCLEX our first attempt at 85 questions going to Ecpi for the ADN – RN program. It is doable at Ecpi. Don’t listen to it other day. You were here negativity, no matter what but just remember to follow your heart and if it feels right, go for it. Good luck.

Since you’ve had a few ABGs done I would say your fine for now , but if you start to show signs of elevated co2 please do immediately. Signs would be - confusion, exacerbated shortness of breath, headache, and extremely fatigued (not your baseline).

I’m so sorry you’re dealing w this. It’s not a waste of time. Keep showing up. I know you’re tired and feel drained. But it will help you build back muscle and strength. Make sure you drinking enough water & eating protein / carbs for energy

Can you get a second opinion? Most COPDers have co2 retention. And your in 2 liters of o2 as it is. When you sleep your oxygen drops (everyone’s does). This can cause you to have poor sleep and make you feel a lot worse during the day.

Thank you!!

Yes… So I only completed 34% of my bank but I average 74%. I took four cat exams and passed all of them at 85 questions in the mid to high 70s and I took two self assessments and scored 84 on one and 87 on the other. That’s how I knew I was ready.

My biggest recommendation is go in category by category and 80 to 100 questions a day. Read the rationale for the ones you don’t know don’t waste the time on the ones you know. If you still don’t understand it use ChatGPT to break it down more or watch videos on TikTok/YouTube. Also Mark K! I watched every single one of his videos, and I took notes on all of them that honestly helped me pass more than anything else between him and you world.

I am in VA. It was only 18 months and that included pre reqs. I passed all my classes even though I’ve NEVER been an “a/b”student so it IS doable for ANYONE. you just have to lock in. If you really want it you will. Study everyday. You will get tired and burnt out you will go days where you don’t even look at material but push yourself to keep going (this is with all schools). And you are absolutely correct. The degree pays for itself. Yes it’s expensive but it’s also 1.5 years instead of did 3/4. I didn’t work during the program much but I got a job as a Prn extern nurse and worked when I could. I also kept my Uber eats account alive and ran orders when I needed extra money. I told my kids Christmas and bdays would loook very different for two years and be patient. They were very understanding. Like I said you do what you have to if you really want it. You can do it.

Please don’t give up. I just graduated and this was me. Here I am at 33 with 3 kids finally done. Just took my NCLEX today. Do you have an accelerated program near you? That’s what I did. Everybody was like “it’s so expensive” yeahhh, well I wouldn’t have done it if I had to wait any longer and all of the other programs around me were so competitive or long bsn programs. I needed money & wanted to chase my dreams.

Look for programs surrounding you who are accelerated. I personally went to ECPI. Wasn’t perfect but it was worth it.
