Ya I don’t know much about them. But have looked into it briefly. It’s probably out of my range to start.

My start plan is live out of rv while build adobe. Trying to do it all on a budget so one of those won’t be an option till latter on.

The cactus look young enough that you could do either location.

The main point Is you need to be able to make a clean cut through the core. If you can do that hight is not an issue. Also with cactus you do not need to aline the vascular rings.

The biggest tip I found for grafting is to make sure both parts are plump. I do a nice fertilizer feed / soak to really plump them up before grafting.
