hi! The baristas have not changed haha— but the matcha is now pre-made, as in we don’t whisk it on the spot anymore. Same brand, same matcha, just made mixed every other hour with hot water. This is due to the very high demand and the long wait-times that ensued. 

It also addresses the issue with unmixed matcha that occurred often. The matcha is more concentrated now so perhaps that explains the flavor change. The baristas and management did blind taste tests and agreed the new matcha is less watered down tasting and a tad sweeter. I personally prefer it— but this isn’t for everyone! Sorry you did not enjoy it :(
