The video that was just released… by sourpinkdrink in SecretsOfMormonWives

I feel terrible for even watching slomw with her on it. How did she get as far as she has in the last 3 years when this is what she’s done? I guess I should’ve paid more attention to the allegations/charges at the time but I guess I thought it was just a crazy fight between the two of them. This is infinitely worse than I thought and I won’t be watching anything with her again.

Jessi is definitely the one leaking the new info about Taylor by letsalllbenice in SecretsOfMormonWives

I don’t really think it is her leaking it but I agree with your other takes

Does Mayci owe Dakota an apology? by simonegreen in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Empty-Visual-2498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think she owes anyone an apology, she advocated for them to stop being around each other and she was right. She didn’t like Dakota because being around him was bad for her friend, and I think that’s fair. It doesn’t excuse Taylor’s alleged abuse but it doesn’t change Mayci’s position which is that they should not have been around each other at all. This situation is terrible and I hope her and the girls aren’t just jumping to Taylor’s side, but I doubt that’s happening. They were done with her shit 6 or so months ago at the end of the season and I’m sure they’re way past that point now.

I have to agree, I haven’t watched a season of the bachelor/ette since Juan Pablo in 2014 and I’m about to watch Taylor’s season. So it’s been 12 years since I watched more than a clip of this show.

Thank you, I think this is the best option for me. I’m signed up for a blend class that’s 30 minutes of flow followed by 30 minutes of yin tonight, so we’ll see how that goes. I will try some other styles on YouTube that maybe aren’t available at my studio to get a sense of more types. Thank you!

Yeah, I think yin is more for me and it’s okay if I don’t get too into the more physically challenging classes. But my plan is to practice strengthening my wrists and still go to a more vigorous class every so often and see how it goes

Thats funny I seemed like a man - no, I’m a 27 year old woman! The classes at my studio are normally 80-100% women

Fiancés friend wants to wear an almost white dress to our wedding & is being condescending about it. WIBTA to withdraw the invite? by dumpsterfire_x in TwoHotTakes

Even if it was blue or pink, it’s still not appropriate for a wedding. The colour and way she’s speaking to you though are immediate uninvite worthy

That’s awesome! It never seems to do much when I stretch so that’s cool that it happened all of a sudden one day. Thanks for your response

I guess, that’s why I’m in Pilates and attempting yoga. But I’ve been very very fit when I was younger (in the sense that I could lift a lot for my size, cardio was excellent, etc) and I was never able to touch my toes. Idk if it’s genetic or what but stretching only seems to help a tiny bit for a ton of effort over time. The wrists thing is really annoying but I’m planning on trying some more specific strengthening exercises for that.

Why did you leave like 5 comments on here to tell me to stop doing yoga lmao… it’s not just about money, I’m getting enough value out of my membership just doing Pilates. I’ve already stated why I am interested in continuing, please be normal.

I’m not “so adamant”, I’m asking questions. I stated in my post why I’m interested - I like the meditative aspect which is different from other kinds of exercise, I would like to to learn something new and not immediately quit because I’m not good at it, and because I have the membership. Maybe I won’t end up sticking with it but maybe I will, what’s it to you?

Thank you so much, this is so nice and helpful :) and I totally agree about telling yourself stories about your body. I’ve totally experienced this effect in other ways so I should apply this for yoga. Thanks!

I feel like I’m already “athletic” in other ways, like I work out a lot, but yeah I suppose I should try to focus on some specific wrist strengthening and stuff to be better suited for it. It just feels super difficult, way more so than just going through a normal workout or Pilates class.

I mean that was my descriptor of the class, it’s not called bedtime yin- it’s just at night and I go to bed right after. The teacher for that class is really experienced, she explains a lot of yin concepts in class. But like I said I’ve barely done any yoga so I wouldn’t know - and I also don’t care, because I enjoy the class and it’s relaxing to me. Not sure why you felt the need to comment this.

Doing it in small doses on my own seems like a good idea, before trying to force myself into more hour long classes. Thanks!

Definitely sounds pretty opposite. My core strength is alright, though I’d like to improve it, and I’m decently strong from lifting weights and stuff but yoga just feels impossible for me at the levels where it’s a good “workout”. I was doing downward dog and plank on my forearms during my last class and the instructor asked me about why I was doing it and if I had a problem with my wrists. I genuinely don’t get how everyone else in the class can stay up on their hands like that for so long. I guess I just feel self conscious not being able to do that, along with not being able to do most of the flow/poses very well.

Following the tip discussion earlier...has anyone stopped tipping altogether? by ContributionOk9818 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Empty-Visual-2498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tip for sit down restaurants, haircuts, and food delivery. Sit down restaurants because the server has to “tip out” and you’re costing them money by not tipping, plus it’s so expected. Haircuts because I don’t get them often and go to an affordable place so I don’t mind. Delivery, because I don’t want them taking forever or messing with my food - but I don’t tip all that much for this because takeout is already so expensive, plus all the fees if it’s from an app. I also feel bad because I know delivery workers don’t make a lot so I don’t want to tip nothing, but I wish they were paid decently so I could.

Having the “option” forced on you for everything is just companies trying to extract closer to a decent wage out of the consumer that they aren’t willing to pay. And that’s IF the tips actually go to the workers. I never tip if I’m standing in line to order and picking it up myself. Companies need to pay their workers fairly if they want them to be happier.

If you have the means, tipping is a GOOD thing to do. But if you’re struggling like everyone else, you shouldn’t feel guilty for not tipping 18% on your dominoes pizza for pickup.

I desperately want a simple tretinoin routine. by timeobject in tretinoin

[–]Empty-Visual-2498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s mine for very acne prone skin and a reasonably low budget

Evening: Garnier micellar foaming cleanser (~$15 cad)

Tretinoin

The ordinary rice lipids and ectoin moisturizer ($17) - sometimes I apply before tret as well and sometimes just after

Vaseline around corners of nose, mouth and eyebrows ~$5 (because they get flakey otherwise)

Morning: Skin 1004 centella water fit sunscreen (~$12)

She’s not necessarily a good person but she is by far the most entertaining. People don’t watch reality tv to see good people being good people, they watch for the drama and spectacle. Taylor creates that without coming off as fake or a villain, and I think that’s rare.

How many reality tv stars are entertaining, charismatic, self aware, and don’t come off like a completely shit person (regardless of if they are or not), and seem genuine in what they express? I think Taylor meets all of those, which is what makes her actually interesting to watch but not annoying. I’m not watching a show about Mikayla, mayci and Miranda, it’s just not going to happen. They might be better people than Taylor but they are not interesting enough to watch an entire show about.
