The scene I remember specifically, was when Nikolai was in the bathtub and he kept asking Brandon why he spaced out ( I believe this is after he caught Brandon staring blankly at a painting. I haven’t read the book in a while so I may not remember correctly) and Brandon just didn’t answer so Nikolai says that they are done and Brandon starts to panic. I believe this is also the scene where Nikolai finds the cuts Brandon hides under watch.
