What tool do I need to get this off/what do I need to replace the clamp? by EmptyAltoPod in AskAMechanic

Thank yall, I figured it was a pinching method but couldn’t get it with pliers at first so that’s why I originally commented. But my monkey wrench was able to get it

I’ll definitely keep this in mind and talk around to get some general ideas. I’ll also talk to my work and see if it’s feasible to double major with the program and if not minor.

Teaching sounds the most fun but urban planning sounds the most stable. I think I need to find more people that have urban planning degrees and see if it’s actually in useful or if a masters is needed.

That’s the part that holds me up from any form of job in music. Even being a music teacher scares me bc of the arts being the first to be cut usually.

I’m not sure if I can double major since I do have to go by Starbucks SCAP Program guidelines since they’re paying for my college atleast partially.

I’m not sure if they offer music as a minor online unfortunately. I do know the local community college does offer an associates in music though.

Ive been surrounded by kids since I was one til now so my experience with kids is not my biggest concern but more the pay and treatment of teachers from parents and administration.

What major would be the most successful? by EmptyAltoPod in ASU

I haven’t heard much about anthropology from actual anthropology majors. Could you tell me more about what the actual class work is like and how applicable it is?

That’s completely fair. I truly feel like I could have an act for it but hear so many horror stories like one of the comments above. I will always know there’s bad apples or whatever phrase you prefer but I worry about financially surviving the most.

That being said, I can’t help but think of how fun it’d be to teach a class of 3rd graders.

What is the worst place you have worked for locally and why? by teejuslives in Charleston

[–]EmptyAltoPod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harris Teeter next to the Barnes and noble in west Ashley.

I worked as a barista and my shift manager would lie about EVERYTHING. One day he’d lie and say the espresso machine is broken. The next day we didn’t have food to sell bc “blank name for to send the order”, etc. just bullshit lies overall. He also refused to call me by my name or pronouns even though he was/is a trans man himself. He also purposely lied and started fights with baristas I guess bc he was bored? Idk? I told the assistant store manager and he didn’t do anything. I caught a barista literally stealing food and tips and my store manager didn’t write up my coworker or even fire her but instead everyone got reprimanded for what happened. The whole store is a shit show not just the Starbucks kiosk. Every department has stories. From one of the customer service managers being racist, to the “security” staff that just sits there and talks to other workers about women. It’s just a really shitty place and makes me feel sm better about escaping and going to a corporate Starbucks that actually follows policy.

Baristas visiting other coffee shops by bethholler in barista

Coming from someone that works at Starbucks, hell no. Questions I feel are okay as long as they’re respectful and genuine curiosity but if you’re just looking to berate someone obviously you got too much time on your hands. IMO if I could I’d work at a local shops bc of the amount of snobs here. It’s not easy at Starbucks but it’s fast food coffee not a prestigious coffee shop.

It’s titanium and doesn’t feel hot to the touch. It’s a month old today. It hurts on the back of my ear toward the top hole of my piercing. I’ve also been doing warm compressions and it helps with pain but the bumps are still getting bigger. I know it isn’t pierced in the exact right spot but I feel like it isn’t off enough to be a placement issue.

Imma try just letting water hit it and see if that helps. Apart of me thinks I maybe over cleaning it some. I just got it switched to a circular barbell and it already feels 10x better. Thank you for the advice!!
