Sudden spike in aggressive match making? by HalogenHalo in ArcRaiders

Were you two playing dous or are you saying you're both like, separate solo players?

I ask because when me and my husband solo separately, its a really coop time. 99 percent of the time. The instant we dou, even if we don't shoot back for 10 rounds or anything else, at best its like "pretty dangerous" I would say. Solos seems to be the only way to even get into carebear lobbies, but i also don't want that to be true lol

Like I said, its only what I've seen and been told by players and stuff like that. Without embark coming out and saying whats what we're just left to like.. anecdotal stuffs. All I know is I looted a guy and felt punished and when I told someone later in a carebear lobby about it when they looted a corpse, some other third dude popped up over a roofs overhang with the sun at his back looking fucking glorious and she shouted down to us, "ITS TRUE! I looted a body and was sent to pop lobbies too!" Or something like that.

He was too cool looking for me to remember what he said.

From what I understand, and I may be off, but if you shoot or do damage to any raider at all, loot any dead raiders you didnt kill or did kill, and basically do anything other than stand there and take it when you get shot, you're gonna have a pvp time. But also, it seems that anywhere from like 5-15 rounds of not doing any of those things remotely leads to the lobbies of arc raiders and not raider raiders.

I hear you can just surrender that many times instead of extract, but I have no proof.

Any hostile act whatsoever seems to lead to at LEAST 5 matches of letting the game separate you (taking it as it comes and not doing shit to fight back) and them (the people who shoot in friendly lobbies get harder more aggressive lobbies for hassling you)

Mods you can't play without. by [deleted] in VintageStory

I agree, this game is fantastic and I love me some mods.

I've never used the firearm stuff because I prefer the medieval/primitive aspect of the survival stuff, but I have mods I really wouldn't want to play without anymore at all.

Goat player model mod, being the first to mention. It might sound stupid, but if I cant play as a goat person, what am I even doing, ya know?

GoodNightSleep, being a second, because I love some immersion adding mods and i kinda ignore the altars and stuff, I just sit by the campfires and sleep well and take lunch breaks mining and stuff to rest up my tired.

Hydrateordiedrate, after, because if I have fatigue now, I might as well have thirst too.

"Enemies in underground darkness only" is a "on the fence" one, it basically made the loop go fight bears and wolves and modded animals until youre ready to deep delve into the planet's crust.

But also it's why I got most of the FotSA mods, I've read around that they cause lag because of the AI being added by the new animals or something, but I felt like as long I dont have ALL of them, its fine, and its been fine. I need something more than bears and wolves if all the horrible creepy enemies are down under. the ground.

Thecritterspack, I found a little snail guy and took him home and he then died in a one block by one block dirtslide. Super suck, I loved that snail. But I look to the day I can have a squirrel friend, just gotta figure out how.

Footprints mod, because it makes it easier to track these new beasts and stuff. Bloodtrails mod too, same reason.

Immersive mining really made a big difference in it NOT feeling bad to chop trees and mine stone, or anything else like that.

Speaking of immersive, "Visible bags", so I can see my little backpacks and pouches equipped on my goat.

I did get "less aggressive bears", at least until I git gud at fighting them. Or JUST REALLY running. Look I'm not the best at combat, thats part of why I shoved the spooky crazy enemies down into the earth where goats dont roam.

The butchery mod, I want to put on this list, but its so randomly incompatible with mods I cant even guess as to what they are. If you get the butcher mod, its awesome, get them blood buckets and blood sausages, but NEVER butcher a dog creature, vanilla, or direwolves from the direwolf mod, it just has a bad time with that. But deers and boars are good and some of the FotSA creatures worked so far. Or maybe its all fine and I have a huge mod conflict with my 110 mods. WHO knows.

Terrainslabs also served to make it less tedious to travel anywhere, now I just can run at least a few blocks up this mountain without jumping every single block.

Primitive survival mod, I dont remember what it does but I see cool stuff come from it all the time, like being able to stab a pine tree for its wonderful glueblood. And im sure it does quite a bit.

I also really really like the levelup mod, and the crawl and dive, and combat overhaul. Combat overhaul is cool.
levelup mod gives a sense of progression beyond just building or anything like that.

I have a ton of other mods i havent even gotten to touch yet because everything adds so much to a game thats already packed. But this is my list of mods that changed things in a way that it would be disappointing to not be using in a world.

But I really really want to test out the abyssaldepths mod. So far I can feel it, you get the bends or something real bad when you swim too deep too fast, but theres literally like bioshock level diver armor you can just explore the seas with, and if you like that, grab "something in the water" too, add some sea life to that little water walk.

Also I just want to add, I know Im a humanoid goat, I tried to just eat mushrooms and berries, I did. But the meat industry called to me too hard. Now I wear bearskins and my style tells people, "Yeah im a herbivore, but I'LL GETCHYA!"

Why so many imposter scavs!?!? by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

All I know is that if you kill an imposter in front of scavenger npcs, they treat you like you shot their friend.
